The Spurs don't need to match up against 1 player. (in the past, the system is still there at least..)
They are adept at marginalizing the impact, see series against Cavs 2007.
As for Dirk, the series against the Heat and Warriors showed his nature.
D-wade (and refs) led his team to 4 straight wins after going down 0-2 in the Finals to take the Championship.
Dirk and team lost 4 straight.
How he played against them seems to be the norm.
2006 against the Spurs was the exception.
It doesn't all fall on 1 player, but your Superstar sets the tone, and if I saw my franchise guy fold the way he did against the Warriors, well that would have far reaching implications on how the rest of his career would go, because we have glimpsed what he is made of. And it doesn't seem to be of that sterner stuff.
TD and TP are minted champions many times over.

My grandmother could beat Bonner in a game of one-on-one, so don't start thinking so much of your team.

lol Dampier Double double
Re: Spurs-Killers are gone
I think it has to do with Dallas liking the tempo of the game San Antonio presents. It's not all about player matchups but team style matchups as well. Teams that run give Dallas trouble.
