I guess she's the new spokesman for the National Association for Opposite Marriage.

Re: Miss California: Carrie Prejean
Wow.
I just heard on the news that the pageant paid for breast augmentation surgery for several of it's participants. But they're pissed at Carrie Prejean for speaking her mind.
Wow.

Here's one of the full stories on it:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30495983/
"Shanna Moakler, co-executive director of Miss California USA, has confirmed the group behind the pageant paid for Miss California Carrie Prejean’s breast implants, weeks before she competed in Miss USA."

For me marriage is a sacred thing- something I will one day enter into solemnly with my spouse before God.
I believe that God ordained marriage to be between a man and a woman and I want to protect that sanctity.
Marriage to me is not just an agreement with the state, it is also a covenant with God.
Like Carrie Prejean said, it is my goal to be Biblically accurate, not politically correct.
I have to stand up for what the Bible defines as God's model for marriage and family- that a man will marry one woman and that children should follow marriage not preceed it.
I cannot in good conscience support homosexuals marrying each other or adopting kids because I feel that is contrary to what God desires.
However, I have no interest in fighting over the more practical issues such as property ownership, insurance etc.
People who are common law are afforded certain benefits. And I think it would be hypocritical of me to deny homosexual people the rights of a common law couple.
And I am not trying to deny them those.
My point is that, for me and those who share my faith, marriage is a sacred thing.
I don't think it is fair that I be considered a bigot because I cherish marriage as something special between one man and one woman and want to see it sustained as such.
Furthermore, I feel that by insisting on redefining marriage, it is the homosexual community, who is being unreasonable.
What rights of the homosexual is not accomplished through a civil union?
You have a slight problem though in that marriage predates Christianity by a long time. A better point of view would be that homosexuals cannot be married in a Christian church. There would be no reason for you to oppose other marriage. I feel that is the view that most Christians have, but they don't express it because it seems extremely bigoted and so just oppose all homosexual marriage, whether it is religious or not. Even if that really doesn't make sense.

That's disgusting. A bag of silicone is supposed to represent what a woman should look like?

Re: Miss California: Carrie Prejean
Another dumbass bitch supported by other dumbass bitches.
Whoopdy-doo.
Definitely ironic considering women are also one of the most discriminated groups of people in history and the OP is supporting the hate and dehumanization of another group of people that has been suffering discrimination since the dawn of society and religion.
OP, ever been to college or study up on womens studies? You sound awfully sheltered and self-righteous and you might be surprised on what you find in books of actual merit and knowledge than self righteous preachy crap.

Incorrect. Marriage between a man and a woman was instituted by God in the very beginning when he created Eve for Adam.

Predate Christianity? That's unpossible!

Re: Miss California: Carrie Prejean
Do you think Miss California was the only contestant who had cosmetic surgery in preparation for the pageant?
I am not condoning her having surgery. I think it was a waste of money and an unnecessary stress on her body.
But I don't think it is fair to single Miss California out for a practice that is likely common among contestants.
Having the enhancement surgery was not a violation of pageant rules, was it?

Re: Miss California: Carrie Prejean
you can't have guys and guys marrying each other you fucking idiots. 6 Billion people including yourself weren't brought into this world that way.
Just nucking futs. For taking the right stand you get criticized nowadays, just despicable

So essentially, if guys and guys can marry each other you're worried that you'll start wanting to ride the Hershey Highway too, thus killing your chances for procreation?

I think it's merely amusing and incredibly ironic that a pageant asks a question about gay marriage, and then acts incredulous as to the "intolerant" response of the person being asked the question. They're so gung-ho about advancing human rights and eliminating negative social prejudices that they want their pageant queens to have big boobs. Does anyone else not see how ridiculous this is?

The boob job thing is just added to the pile. There's not one single element of this story, including the fact we're still talking about it, that isn't ridiculous.

Re: Miss California: Carrie Prejean
What a stupid stupid prima donna bitch.
It's like Corby said, she's twenty one, she does not know a god damn thing about marriage, and doesn't even deserve an opinion on the subject.
At least her beliefs allowed her to get huge massive fake titties prior to miss america :rollin
