So...whose team is this?

Everyone has a part that they must play to assure victory...so this BS about who the team belongs to is just what I said it is...BS.
I wrote this in response to our resident Parker super homer(no name is necessary, everyone knows who it is). I think it speaks volumes after seeing what we saw yesterday. Arguing back and forth about whose team this is simply makes no sense. The human body has a heart, lungs, brain, liver, etc. Each part is critical to the survival of the person...and if one is lost the whole body dies. Our team is made up of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and the collective set of role players. Each part is critical to the survival of the team...and if one does not show up success is next to impossible.

We are talking long term success. The Mavs are going nowhere from a championship perspective.

Duh. The Spews getting beat and beat bad in 1st round by the Mavs makes them fucking pathetic.

Re: So...whose team is this?
A Rockets fan talking about getting beat in the first round.

Yeah. Pathetic. :rolleyes With no Ginobili and a banged up Duncan. Tell me how far Dallas gets with no Terry and a gimpy Dirk.
Hell, tell me how far Houston gets with no Artest and a gimpy Yao. And DON'T try and talk to me about McGrady. Everyone and their mother knows the Rockets are better without them.

Re: So...whose team is this?
When David Robinson couldn't brush his teeth without his back hurting, it was him team and Tim was his best warrior. Now it's Tim's team and it'll be his team until he retires.

so having three stars playing great is better than one and a half ? Having role players playing great could help ? who could say that ?
sure, it deserved a thread.

The mavs are actually playing with an average Dirk and and non-factor Terry. Houston is playing without T-Mac and with a quiet Yao.
but dirk, terry and yao still asks a lot of attention from opponents allowing their teamates to step up.
for the spurs, obviously manu isn't helping and even Tim doesn't draw the attention he used to from the opponent. and since the role payers suck.
My point is to say that certainly missing one of our three stars and having another one quiet hurts us a lot. but i still think most of others teams would deal with it better than we do.
no other team needs one of his star playing out of his mind like we need from Parker. and i agree that it doesn't make us go very well.
PS: oh, and to answer this meaningless and useless question: it's tim's team, so what ?

Re: So...whose team is this?
Not a Rocket fan. Just like b-ball. This site makes u choose a team. It's funny watching you fags deflect any criticism someone can have for ur team. Face it, Pop is not a genuis, Tony Parker is not a all-star, Mangoo is a selfish wild animal and without luck, injuries to other teams, suspensions and the fact they tank a season to get the best power forward in NBA history we would be talking about the Spews like we would the Bucks. A few years from now we will!

You're a fan with no team? That's odd.

Re: So...whose team is this?
Wow everybody just underestimated ducks. But in fact ducks was biding his time for a moment like this, Manu injured and couldn't play same with Tim, there stats down. Which leads to Tony playing more minute and shooting more shots and having the ball go through him and we all know Tony can score, so this is the oppurunity that ducks has been waiting all this time to start bagging on Tim, now he's been doing slowly and now he can say it outright the way he says TP > Manu. If you haven't understood yet, we all know that ducks thinks: TP > Tim Duncan.
lol what a fail
p.s manu > tp

Re: So...whose team is this?
Tony Parker is our NUMBER ONE option on offense, it's simple as that..in the past few years, our offense has been 1-a-b-c, now it's Parker being the #1 option..that's where it ends..
Duncan is still our best all-around player when he's healthy, as he showed during the 1st half of the year..similar to KG-Pierce..
This team relies on Parker and Duncan for everything though..we're very fortunate that Tony has emerged like he has with Manu's injury..I think it's pretty clear that Manu is a whole step behind these 2 though, for the first time in years..
we obviously need all 3 to play at a high level though, since our system is based on it..

yesterday tp>duncan
duncan should have had more rebounds
ducks wants titles
with manu it is more possible if he is on spurs payrole
ps spurs need players that get paid superstar money to be healthy in playoffs
manu has not been

He's been injured all year, let's wait for next season to see if this statement is true.

I don't know what you tried to say here, but let me tell you that Manu has been injured two playoffs, a lot of players/superstars have been injured for two or more playoffs in their respective careers, even our own Tim Duncan has been injured two diferent playoffs.

If Manu plays like last year and TP like this year, I don't give a fuck who's better, we'll be the 2010 champions.

Re: So...whose team is this?
The dude who almost had a triple double on 1 leg yesterday. 25 pts, 9 Rebounds and 7 assists. Its his team. TIM DUNCAN..until he retires. Don't let the points fool you.

Honestly I spend more time on other subjects on this great site! When I do talk Spews I am really trying to help you guys out. I swear on my mothers life. You guys have been brainwashed. I spent 10 years in that shithole SA and I have left a few friends behind. I want to help all of you. Spews are one of the worst organizations and the town is fat and stinks.
I know SA has nothing else BUT there is cable. The town is piss poor so its not like 99 percent of you go to games. You can follow another team just like you have done with Spews(tv and internet). If you have to have a team let me suggest The Mavericks- close to SA/with Cuban will spend money, Lakers,Celtics-rich in history, Blazers-Young and exciting, Cleveland-LEBRON.
