What I find funny is Obama's feigned outrage. Does anybody really believe that Obama didn't know Air Force One was flying around NYC?

If Air Force One is flying, then either (A) the President is on it, or (B) the President authorized it to fly without him. Because if one plane is in the air, that means Obama can't fly on the other one. So this little photo op was planned and authorized in advance.

What's the political benefit here? What does Obama gain by the ruse, if it is that?

Airforce One is the call sign given to any airplane that carries the president.
