who is he
i rather have craig smith
Carney is one of the top guys on my list..he impressed me this season..he's athletic, and he keeps improving his 3-point shot, which is something he would have to continue as a Spur..
He's a Free Agent? :wow
Blessing of youth!!!
i guess carney is going to be the 2009 version of kirk snyder. didnt know why people were all over snyder, and i dont get carney much either.
sub 43% shooter, 35% from 3 at best, doesnt rebound, ast/to ratio below 1. on an udoka type deal, sure. not worth banking any cash on.
As a bottom of the barrel athletic swingman, he's not a bad option. He could blossom. Probably won't but there's a chance.
at least he's still young. unlike udoka, he won't get slower and suckier as time passes.
That looked like a Finley dunk. If he's also a crappy defender...
He looks more NBA ready than Gist.
Gist would come cheaper though..
Can he play D?
If the Spurs can get him a the right price, then I would like for them to give him a try.
Here are some more highlights.
He can shoot those corner three's though. :clap
Udoka replacement? As it stands, the Spurs probably need the LLE for a big.
didn't he just get traded?
76ers agree to terms with Carney
The 76ers have agreed to terms with forward Rodney Carney, this according to a source familiar with the situation.
Carney, 6-foot-7, has agreed to a 1-year deal. Previously, Carney spent two seasons with the Sixers: 2006-07, 2007-08. In July of 2008, Carney was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he played last season.
In his 3-year career, Carney has averaged 6.5 points and 2.0 rebounds a game.

Update: for the minimum

Steal for the minimum. If Spurs resign Manu next year, look for the Spurs to look at Carney with the LLE if they intend to give Splitter the majority of the MLE.
