I posted about Channing Frye near the trade deadline last season. I thought he would be a cheap big the Spurs could have gotten at that time.
Now, I don't think so.
The Spurs needs a big who can protect the rim, play good post defense, and block a shot or two.
Unfortunately, those qualities are not strengths of Channing Frye.

Wait, I thought it was a (verbally) done deal with the Suns. I've already breathed my sigh of relief and everything. Ok, well here we go again *Big Breath*. (Please no Frye).

Former Blazers forward Channing Frye was in Cleveland on Monday visiting with the Cavaliers. "I'm enjoying this process. I'm visiting with Cleveland now, and I'm still talking to other teams, but all I can think about is getting in the gym because no matter where I go I'm determined to show the NBA what I can do," Frye said in an email. Frye is also being courted by Denver, San Antonio, Washington, Orlando and Phoenix

I'd take him.
He'll look a HELL of a lot better with the likes of Duncan.

Bucher tweeted today that the Spurs were "lurking" while a couple other teams continued their recruitment.
He's a better fit for the Suns or Mavs
