I have to disagree with you about being Sheed or bust.

I have come around to having Sheed on the team. Fine.

But if they get McDyess or another serviceable big that can rebound, play good post defense, and block a shot or two....the Spurs will be in good shape to win it all.

Even if you have Sheed and the big 3 are injured the Spurs are not winning it all.

Its about finding a last piece to fit their needs....if its Sheed, good, if its McDyess, good too!

But if its someone else.....that could be the missing piece to a ring next season as well.

Sheed is clearly the best fit. If his deciding factor is adding rings then the Spurs are his best choice. He makes us superior to the Lakers head to head. We would have a BIG 5, none of which would need to play excessive minutes to win 55+ games and be rested for the real season. I find it interesting that Boston sent a flotilla to visit him and he is coming here for a visit. He is and always have been volitale on the floor but has no history of locker room problems or off the court. Sign him for 3 + a 4th at his option. The Spurs could have 3 more rings by then and then who cares.

Great post! For what it's worth, I would love to have Dice, with his deadly midrange game, great defender and rebounder, more humble, however I'm not even certain that he is leaving Detroit as of yet.

I like ZaZa as well, though I don't think he puts the Spurs over the top by himself.

As you said, there are other options.
