I can't think of a year the mavs were ever as good as the spurs. Refs and injuries are their only intangibles.

Yeah, the problem is that that expiring contract belongs to..........Dampier.

And when did Marion excel against the Spurs? The play for the Spurs was let Amare go off, turn Nash into a scorer, and shut Marion down. Didn't you wonder why Bowen was chasing Marion around instead of Nash for most of the playoffs?
