Ya'll I ain't no "Marcus Bryant" or whoever the hell ya'll worship around here but I'm a silent paranoid follower and Spurs fan. I'd like to say Thank you to all my fans out there, all five of you, with that said I'd like to continue.

Offseason is a a B+

Reason: I'd give it a C if ain't for Richard Jefferson, ya'll are smart you can read posts about how much he makes Pippen look like something the Vandy Gundy Bros pulled out their pubic hairs. Regardless, this guy is the reason we'll imporve next season

1. Trades: Two's the magic number! God, the one we had was beautiful, but we quit! Jefferson deal was amazing! But as I'm sure someone once stated in some post the deal to do was Camby for Bonner/Mason. Matt Bonner makes me either reach for more tequila or for Law&Order, the guy needs to go, and hopefully we won't need Mason's threes because we'll win by a hundred next year.Moving forward

2. Draft. Great, cant argue, who can? I mean besides drafting the world record holder for vowels in a single name I think we did pretty good

3. FA. Ahh there's always your antagonist, and that's me friends. I think we fucked up. Listen, I know all you love Antonio McDonald's hustle, jump shot , 34 year old body whatever, but come the fuck on he's not the post we want next do Duncan. I'm not saying Rasheed, David Lee, BigFat Davis or anyone is the damn key to success. I'm saying we should of incorporated a trade aforementioned or gotten T-Splitt or a big body for sale. I hope you all enjoy a new Kurt Thomas next to Timmy D next year, cuz that's all McDyess will be, a guy who never gets the ball trying to impact the game from 20 feet away. We needed a guy like Chandler, Splitter, Camby, or fuck whoever can dunk in a put back to impact our team. Do you not realize why LA and DEN are so successful they get all their momentum points off put back and rebound and one dunks from their athletic bigs.

We've TP, Manu, TD and Jefferson to score. Our post attack is TD. The Dice signing is all about defense and rebounding. I like what Dice gives us against athletic PFs too. But as for offense, if TD doesn't impress you, don't think you will be this year either.

You ramble on as if you're on drugs, but that's besides the point. Tiago can't come over just yet because of some money/contract issues, Clippers wouldn't make that deal especially not now, and Chandler sucks. McDyess is a good player and fits right in.

OleMissMike, Spurstalk members tend to be pretty inhospitable to outsiders. My fellow Spurs fans tend to feel alienated from society for the most part ("never get any respect," "why isn't ESPN carrying this," etc.), and they've formed a tight knit pretentious group here.

It's definitely not for everybody.

Sounds like you wanted the Spurs to sign a Center. I think they passed on doing that because they didn't want to jeporadize bringing over Splitter next year. Trust me the Spurs are going to be fine and will contend for the title. Duncan will play center and the spurs have surrounded him with alot of potential. I can't wait for the season to start.

OleMissMike, get real already. McDyess IS the real deal.

If McDyess turns out to be only as effective as KT was in his stint with the spurs I'd be shocked.. His mid-range and post up game far exceeds KT, he is more mobile and he is a better rebounder. His post defense is only a notch below KT.

In case you forgot, the spurs signed Marcus Haislip as their "Chris Anderson" type and I think they made a good choice. He looks like he will provide some sparks from offensive put-backs and maybe some highlight reel dunks. So there's your fucking crowd pleaser, jackass.

McDyess was signed to give much needed help to Duncan on the boards and keep the paint a nasty place for opposing teams to tread, and that's what he will do. Your a fucking moron.

There is only one thing i agree with from the original post and that is the Booner shouldn't be in this team. Not because he sucks so bad, but rather because Pop will be tempted to give him minutes out of loyalty. Booner would take minutes away from McDyess and Blair and I just wont have it.

I'm still pro trading Finley and Booner for someone who can be a borderline starter at any position.

If you need an example, see EricB in this thread. After all, I never saw him make one post debating the OP, just nothing but insults. It's something that happens here more often than not Mike, and when it happens, I tend to tune out of a thread because of it.
