The problem for the Spurs is YOUR WINDOW IS NEXT SEASON.
You don't have time to wait for rookies to develop.
That's the sad reality, you don't need draft picks right now. You need proven talent that can get it done in the playoffs. If I were the Spurs I'd unload Ginobili for Camby or another proven big.

Respectively your not very astute to hold this view with Parker becoming the leader of the team in scoring and Manu and Duncan the only remaining middle career pieces - Duncan and Manu cannot be damm good for 3-4 more years.
Lakers cannot beat this reconstructed Spurs team period and when Jackson packs it in they will deconstruct with all the egos on that team.

Re: Oh my God, this kid is SICK (Blair Mix)
Those long arms and that low stance are going to turn into a lot of steals and balls tapped away when guys try to back him down, dribbling. Already saw that in the snippet of the practice the other day. Unless Bynum develops something of a mid-range game Blair should stop him in his tracks, neutralizes his rebounding too..

If you honestly think the spurs are gonna rely on rookies, you got another thing coming..
Turnobili for Mr. Glass? No thank you. And injury prone player for another, yeah, great suggestion..

You do have a point in that Pop's going to have to be more flexible and open to giving young players a consistent role on the team.
His fear-based, "make one mistake and you're in the doghouse" routine is getting old.

Yup. And sometimes I think it can be better to be 6'8 or 6'9 with a 7'2 wing span than it is to simply be 7'0 with a 7'2 wing span. Those guys with the freakeshly long arms just have a way of taking people by surprise.
It's easier to track and anticipate where the hands of a 7'0 guy are going to be than it is to track the fingers of a guy who is all arms and stretches out to 7'0+ with the wing span.

No, our window is two seasons. Take a look at our contracts.
Unload one of the best closers in the game. Mmmmm, okay. :rolleyes
My guess is Pop gives time to his frontcourt youngsters over the first half of the season, and if it's not working he'll send out expirings (we still have 6mil in Bonley) for a veterean big to plug the hole. That makes a lot more sense than bringing another vet in now and stiffling any chance of finding out whether our youth is any good.

How about you give up the emoticon-only posts? They are meaningless and tiresome. If you have something to say, say it.
House isn't a troll - he may argue points that many here don't agree with, and sometimes trots out BS as bait, but he's not a troll.

Re: Oh my God, this kid is SICK (Blair Mix)
moving on, dear SAN ANTONIO fans,
obviously the rebound flip with thabeet is amazing, but how about that block on thabeet as well! not only is he creeping on a dude about 9" taller but he just ripped it away like a 50/50 play!
i don't really follow NCAA till march madness and then the draft....so tell me, what other drafts had a 1-5 pick get completely destroyed a dude picked late 1st rd/2nd rd? obviously 37 doesn't really represent his value, but even without the ACL issue wasn't he projected 14-25? say he was #15-that's still a ways behind #2! hansbrough was #13!
