Gooden did what was asked of him without complaint or second guessing.
He came to the Spurs with high hopes and was never really given a chance to fulfill them. I can't think of too many players who could have handled a seemngly unfair situation any better. It would be fitting if the Spurs could retain him or at least help him to a better destination.
I bet he signs for the LLE if he's out there long enough without a MLE offer.
shit, id say sign him for the LEE, Dyce and Gooden while timmy rest in the bench.
If we can get him for the LLE I'm all for it. Defensive liability but he knows how to score. :tu

Someone is going to offer him more than the LLE. He's a guy that can put points on the board...and there are definitely teams that will pay for that.
Is it possible a sign and trade with OKC : they sign Gooden for 3 millions and then trade him to us for Bonner and a 1 ch. ?

I would LOVE Gooden back for the LLE if he would do it. I expect him to get a bigger than LLE contract from Orlando tho. They could definatly use him, and he lives there.
Either way... I Twittered him the other day and said I hope he comes back, but if not, thanks for coming here last year when he had other choices... but thanks again Drew!

Drew Gooden will be missed - I still hope he grows his hair back the way it was a few years ago. He had that little patch of hair on the back of his head. I called it "yak fluff". Best hair-do ever!! GL DREW!
