I got nothing against you, it just seemed I touched a nerve on the sig line, since only the Spurs portion was worth my attention, and that is a given on here anyway. You called me a douchebag as I recall, LOL.

My "defensive" posture was simply a similar perspective, that I did not feel I should be corrected when people are starting threads such as "Tim Duncan PF."

There is more to the question than just S Jax > Manu straight up or vice versa. I was attempting to start discussion that would reveal the issue as more complex than it appears on the surface, and succeeded somewhat, albeit with much "noise" along the way. Funny stuff.

As much as I liked Jax's toughness and swagger I would still go with Manu.

Manu has more basketball IQ and flair than Jax ever will. Still would like a serious consideration of whether 2009 with Manu + Jax, then 2010-12 Jax only no Manu would be worth it to possibly cinch the '09 title. Anyone that questions why GS would part with Jax and his relatively reasonable contract makes a good point, so obviously not likely. If they were tired of Jax and wanted to dump the last 3 years at $27 million then maybe, but that is probably more than enough to keep Manu and the way to go.

The point of this thread was to highlight that picking up Jax would likely cost us Manu after this year, and is it worth it? Seems that many were having trouble realizing that was the situation. Some of us are trying to get past the endless bickering and stay on subject, are you capable of that?

You lost me there. I had another user ID that I rarely used years ago, then created one that I liked better recently. It was nothing like "sporkie", I just figured that was some redneck dipshit insult that I never heard of in my 38 years, mostly living in San Antonio but not currently.

As far as this being an imbecilic thread, surely you read the part about stay the hell off then, and you really think your opinion on that matters to me?

I left this board for years because of assholes like you that try to dominate it. I came back because of my enthusiasm for the upcoming season and out of boredom. You my friend are the problem, not me. More thread police and off topic comments. Traffic would go down dramatically with a highly restrictive thread policy. I think I can count on one hand the threads I have started, its not like I just look for any silly excuse. There are many topics on the main page I think are lame, but I don't get on those ones berating the thread-starter. I just avoid them, it's really not that hard if you make a small effort to do so.
