Obama: I telephoned Harvard professor's arresting officer
http://www.cnn.com/
I FREAKING KNEW IT!!!
I said he would tip-toe around it and eventually apologize. Same as the Rev. Wright situation.
LOL, Obama!

Re: Obama: I telephoned Harvard professor's arresting officer
that was a good (as chump said) non-apology apology.
-
Re: Obama: I telephoned Harvard professor's arresting officer
Sorry for starting another thread on the subject, but I just HAD to pat myself on the back for this one.
I was just saying how this was going to happen, and then I click on CNN and there it is unfolding exactly how I said it would.

Doesn't seem like much tiptoeing, and it's happening much more quickly than the Wright thing, so it's not exactly how you said it would.

Stupid to be a dick to a cop. You complicate the scene, your case is weak.

If you claim to be educated, you might want to edit that second sentence.

Right he did his job, then he stupidly stuck around and stupidly arrested and stupidly cuffed and stupidly detained the homeowner and taxpayer he had been dispatched to protect.

Obama: Choice Of Words On Gates 'Unfortunate'

President Barack Obama has called the white policeman who arrested black Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. The president says he believes the sergeant to be an outstanding police officer.
The president said Friday that he continues to think both the officer, Sgt. James Crowley, and Gates overreacted during the incident -- but Obama also faulted his own comments.
Making an impromptu appearance at the daily White House briefing, Obama told reporters: "I could've calibrated those words differently."
The president caused a stir when he said at a prime-time news conference earlier this week that police in Cambridge, Mass., had "acted stupidly" by arresting Gates.

Nah, it was spot on.
Why didn't he just leave?
Please explain why he had an overriding obligation to stay at the scene.

he didn't "just stick around" you obviously can't read police reports. or just read, period
-
Re: Obama: I telephoned Harvard professor's arresting officer
the cop wouldn't leave until he proved that white trumps black.

Why didn't he just leave once his burglary investigation was over?
Tell me, I'll read your answer.
