I actually liked the Lakers when I was a kid. They had Chamberlain, West, Hairston and the lot. Chamberlain had his issues but he mellowed by the time he went to LA. Under Bill Sharman the team had allot of class. That is the key word, "class".
The Lakers of today show very little class or respect for the game and it just got worse with the addition of Artest. Fans are fans, but what I could do without is the Laker fan that tries to justify that having a lack of character has some kind of purpose in this world.

Thats pretty much how I feel about the Laker since '96 when they acquired Shaq and Kobe. It seems once they were acquired that the arrogance from both of those guys trickled down to the roleplayers Dfish,Fox,Horry, etc and today you got scrubs like Vujabitch,Walton acting real cocky. They wouldn't be real hateable if their superstar wasn't an arrogant prick. On top of that under the Jackson-Kobe-Shaq era they have always been grade A sore losers and winners.Quote:
