Re: Who's the Best Power Forward?
Bob Pettit was one of the first dominant big men in the league. He had career averages of 26.4 points, 16.2 rebounds and 3 assists along with 43.6 percent from the field and 76.1 percent from the free throw line. He was also selected to eleven All-Star teams in his 11 year career. He was also selected to the All-NBA team in the eleven seasons he played, ten of the selections as a member of the first team.

You can only compare players in their time and how dominate they were as compared to other players in their time.

I am pretty sure he could dominate a game, maybe not to the extent of a Bird, Duncan, Magic or Jordan, but he could put up 56 points once in a while as well, and play killer D. It wouldn't be a stretch to say that he could dominate a game like a Barkley or a Malone would
His biggest problem is that he can't really pass that well, but for a guy who shoots 60% from the field, and 80% from the line, there really isn't that much of a need for him to pass.
There was about a year and a half the guy was playing on one leg, and still puts up 20/8 a game as the second option, that is pretty ridiculous.
Take 88-89 season for example, Bird only played 6 games because of a bad back, and McHale was already past his prime, he still manages to score 22.5 ppg and 8 rpg. The Celtics weren't that great, and I think barely made the playoffs, but that is what I would imagine a Malone or Barkley would have done in the same situation (maybe a little better).
I would rank:
1) Duncan
2) Barkley
3) Malone
4) Garnett
5) McHale
6) Hayes
7) Nowitzki
Come to think of it, maybe he is not a sure in a 5 as 4 to 7 on my list are pretty close, but definitely one of the top 10.
