definitely helped them out but our defense is the story,
I called this before the game..it was obvious they were going to get the calls after the Nash-Nene incident, they probably sent some tapes to the league, which is something teams generally do..
We still played very poorly though, and we didn't deserve this win..well Tim Duncan deserved it, but individuals don't win games..
Our D was just horrible, it was better in the second half but we were already down by too much to make it up.

yeah, it must be the refs again. No, not the players. Just the refs. BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its always sombody else's fault we lose.
I only got to see the 4th quarter but it was pathetic. The ghost foul with ginobili on hill. Stoudamire jumping all over blair's back nothing. Then the NBA wonders why fans question the refs.
Yeah, the refs were shit. We definitely could have won if it wasn't for many of those numerous bullshit calls. Duncan and Blair got mugged in the post, especially when Stoudemire clearly jumped on Blair's back. Really sucked.
Oh well, we still got more rings.
and its funny how we started getting the invisible fouls call after pop cleared his bench
It wasn't the refs.
It was the worst TP game in 4 or 5 years and the pathetic job by RJ
Obviously the refs helped the suns win this game but that 1st quarter by the spurs was so pathetic... If the spurs came out to play then they could have easily beaten the suns and the refs but for whatever reason they came out lazy and confused.
Refs weren't terrible guys. Annoying, yes, but not bad enough that the spurs couldn't have won this game.
You want one sided reffing, watch a lakers or cavs game (one that matters)
Spurs shot more FT's.
EricB: whoaahhh settle down there bigboy
this is the prototypical game where spursfans bitch about a few tough calls at the end of the game but it means nothing. We had plenty of calls go our way...the Manu charge-flop, Duncan got to the line, Blair was allowed to be physical with Amare.
We lost this game because we suck. Refs just did their job.
yep the refs have been screwing the spurs since last season.....the nba needs new refs.....
those refs gotta get there eyes checked or something because that shit was just disgusting ta watch
Agreed but those calls when we pulled within 3 were atrocious. Hill's offensive foul when baseline was ABSURD
Embarrassing thread.
Refs were fine.
You watch only the 4th quarter, the Spurs shoot more FT's than the other team in their building and the refs were bad? Good take there guy who knows nothing about basketball and tells people to drink drain-o and says stuff that is wrong all of the time and then gets called out and then acts like it never happened then gets mad if you bring it up then tells people to pack up and leave.
It's extremely frustrating watching the refs call so many touch fouls on one side but it happens. So the Spurs shouldn't put themselves in that position to began with.
I didnt even say they were the reason we lost. I am stating the facts that they sucked when we pulled close. Which is true.
The refs didn't give us a chance to win at the end of the game but the spurs didn't give themselves a chance for 2 and a half quarters. It's just hard to watch them call these bs calls at the end of the game.
Oh, wait, Timvp and Kori now said the refs were fine, so EricB will now retreat and act like nothing happened or just start agreeing with them in this thread 180 style.
Who wants to blame the refs for this loss? The Spurs' starters except for Tim Duncan dug their own grave, the bench clawed their way out of the coffin and then the starters shut the lid on the coffin by playing like shit. The refs were not even a big factor.
Overreact much? I stated my opinion .. "Embarrassing Thread"... I didn't say the officiating was good, the refs are beyond reproach, or that this thread is worse than any other on the forum. Furthermore, I wasn't even talking to you... I was talking to the thread starter.:lol
I could say that Ginobli being careless and Parker being lethargic and obviously suffering from his injury resulting in no lift in his game and other aspects as well as the entire nonsense that our team was showcasing outside of Duncan helped contribute to our loss. I could also that Jefferson did absolutely nothing as well as McDyess and Bonner. But I know someone else will cover that, hence raising the issue of the refs letting the players play at one side and the other caling ticky tack fouls when the game pulled within reach. Yes, the Spurs screwed themselves over, but when they did pull within 3-5, terrible offensive foul calls were called.
Why is it out of line to say "the refs sucked"
That's all that was said. No one said" man had we had 3 better refs the outcome would be different" no. All that was said was the refs stunk. Period..
Amazing when your team doesnt get away with murder now that Bowen is gone, huh?
