He's also getting alot of help this year offensively as well.
One thing that MAJORLY concerns me however is what Pop is going to do w/ Finley once he comes back. Pop needs to just bench Fin and let Roger Mason step into the full time backup position behind Bogans. Ppo can ill-afford to have too many guys in the rotation and minutes too spread out. The rotation without Finley right now is just right, 20 mins each to Bogans and Roger.
If Pop throws Finley in and thins out the minutes even more, it will only cause dissension and chaos amongst the players and could ruin any good chemistry the team has developed.
This has the potential to be a huge problem.
I was thinking about this a few games ago when Mason started playing better. We get defense from Bogans and offense from Mason. Finley needs to sit. His time is done. Of course, I'll be shocked if Pop takes that approach.
We can't even find minutes for Hairston to see if he could help defensively. I see no logical reason to continue playing Finley, but that's been the case for a while.

Bottom line, Spurs need to find a way to get it all together. Can they? Of course! However you can sugar coat it all you want but as of right now Spurs are playing poorly.
As for TD I completely disagree with the OP. Timmy is playing all out right now because he pretty much has had to to keep this team from sinking.
Tim looks fresh out there. The Spurs are not playing poorly. TP, McDyess and Jefferson are.
Re: Spurs Are Coasting Till The All Star Break
I think the Spurs will eventually get it together and we will be a competitive team come playoffs.
I disagree with the whole "spurs are just coasting" talk. Coasting is what chump, loser, teams do. The spurs need to give the entire season great effort and get clicking right away because, if they don't, the teams that do get going right away will kill them in the playoffs.
We need to get clicking before mid-season and fully refine ourselves after the rodeo road trip. If not we will not have a good playoffs.
