You know, it's a tough time right now because my best friend and lifelong mentor is currently in hospital after surgery for diverticulitis, and he's in a really bad way... it's terrible to see him so messed up, hooked up to a hundred tubes and out of his mind on fentanyl. I feel so sorry for him. :(

Somehow, and I have no idea why, but knowing that a few people at ST appreciate what I bring to the place, even if it's only for my accent, makes me feel a bit better. And I really need that because when someone you love is really sick it's your responsibility to be strong around them when actually all you want to do is break down. So thanks, a stupid poll is helping me through the day. :tu :)

PS No sympathy votes please! :lol

Is it weird that i feel like im listening to some alien show with all the american accents, but felt at ease when Ruff came on? Btw Ruff, your accent sounds the same as mine - i would say you have an australian accent, and the nasal one you are on about is the same as saying an 'american redneck' is a typical American accent ;)

My vote goes to amuseddaysleeper, because he had solid takes through most of the show... so, it was basically he played more minutes so got better stats kinda deal. (Sorry Ruff)

I understand what you mean about the accents. Having lived OS a number of times, I found that sometimes I called home just to hear familiar voices. And yeah, you are right about the accents, although I think most foreigners take their read on our accent from Paul Hogan (who speaks 'strine), especially Americans because of those extremely successful commercials he did promoting Oz.

As for not voting for me, no need to apologise. To be frank, I'm surprised anyone voted for me (although I appreciate the support very much, and will be back! I think I'll call up once a week or so).
