The legend continues..

He just has the Magic Stick..
Bonner is definitely the undisputed king of +/- statistics. I don't know how he does it.
Offensive rating of 126. That is how he does it. His defensive rating is 106. The team scores the most points with him on the court per 100 possessions, that is how he does it. Play his ass.
lol white bonner
+15
Matt Bonner was +15 tonight.
The only other player with a positive +/- statistic was Tony Parker with +2. Both times Bonner came into the game, the Spurs went on runs.
Play this man more! Hell, his defense isn't any worse than Dice and at least he spaces the floor with the threat of the three-pointer!
best defensive big man on the team
and yes I mean that
Duncan's D has been shit this year
:downspin:
it's a sad day when Bonner is the best defender in the team
State of the Spurs: One guy who might be able to help out has a bad hand and can't shoot.
The question begs to be asked: Why is he allowed to ever occupy the bench; shouldn't he be among the league-leaders in minutes?:smokin
Comical, or cosmical?
The legend continues, bitch.
It's 90% about his circumstances guys.
Bonner has benefited big time from being on the floor with Blair this year...and being in the starting lineup last year.
The +/- is Matty's bitch; in a cosmical sort of way.;)
you guys always doubted him. This is why I'm the best coach in the NBA. 13 points with a +28. Ian couldn't do this.
+28 lmao
Respectable defense as well.
He's the can opener. When he's hitting, which is more than about any other 3 point shooter on the team, the offense flows. He opens the lane more than any other shooter, because his D cover man is usually a big, leaving only one in the lane. The guards can penetrate and score or dish.
Also, when you think about how teams make runs and get separation, it usually boils down to: 1. getting to the line; 2. turning defense in to offense/forcing turnovers; and 2. hitting the 3-ball.
Seeing as the team doesn't get to the line at even the league-average clip or excel in forcing turnovers and turning defense into offense consistently, the Spurs' success in putting teams away and garnering separation often depends on their ability to knock down the 3. And since Matt's been maybe their best 3-point shooter over the last couple of years and he sees more minutes at more opportune times, it makes sense that those factors would be beneficial to the +/-.

Bonner: "I am legend."

“Matt Bonner was fantastic,” Popovich said. “He showed really good poise and good patience playing someone who really is one of the best scorers in the league. I was really proud of him.”http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/s...ting_hand.html
