Let us also not forget RJ's momentous contribution to tonight's win, a veritable Pippen to his Jordan, behold: 11 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds, all in just 32 minutes.
This season is a lock.

I'm more impressed with the 11-11 ft stat.
I didn't "manufacture" that stat LOL, it's true..
Basketball-reference has games that go back until 86-87..in that time, there have been 12 instances of 33+ year olds getting 27 rebounds or more(including Duncan)..Duncan is the only one to do it in under 38 minutes..
It's funny how that works...all of Duncan's averages over the past five years are starting to bare themselves out, only this year he's doing it in 32-33 mpg. He's settling into: (roughly) 19 ppg, 11 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.9 bpg, 50-53%, 70-75%.
With Parker out, Pop needs to not overwork Duncan (or Ginobili). Jefferson should be able to handle significantly more minutes and will have to, with Hill playing the point exclusively and Mason likely playing the majority of his minutes at the point as well. With Finley not yet back and Hairston with the Toros, the Spurs are down to five perimeter players. This means small ball is likely out the window for the time being.
Not to go all Hollinger on you, but it's called regression to the mean. Duncan has never shot 55% in any season in his 12 year career, so the likelihood of him continuing to shoot over 55% from the field was highly unlikely. Granted, he's facing a lot less double teams these days, but nonetheless, his career percentage is .509%. His best years were: .549% in 07-08 and .546% in 06-07. Aside from those two seasons, his next best is .513% in 02-03.
can anyone make me a GIF of timmy smiling at the end and doing that claw thing with his hands ?
Sisk asked in the other thread too. I hope someone will. The wave is to his kids.

If my notes are correct, tonight was Duncan's 20th 20-20 game in the regular season. He has 10 in the Playoffs.
I didn't watch the game, but I'm glad the Spurs won on Duncan's career night.
Haven't come forum for a long time, I'm so happy about this...I also noticed that Duncan did not even mention it in the post-game interview.
Duncan had his first 20-20 game since 2005, and the 20th of his career. :flag:
duncan wanted to remind blair that he's not the only one on the team that can get a 20-20 game.
