^^ A White/Murray backcourt would be interesting. They would make a lot of mistakes since they are youngs but they do have size and either can bring the ball up. White is starting to get love here simply because he really is unknown compared to Tony/Patty/Bryn/DJ.
And White has a reputation for being a scoring guard who can hold his own on D (All-Defense for his conference in college). Plus RC apparently said they think he has high athletic potential, which makes him an exciting player to add to the rotation.Quote:

Blossomgame will be the real deal sooner than later. He will be a rotation player in SA next season.
Not sold on Blossom yet he has good games but not put anything back to back still needs to work on his shooting. I think he will need another year to improve before he can make the leap.
The guy that most suprised me is Livio he had had great back to back games and I am talking the whole thing scoring, rebounding, and even assist he looks like a new man. I wonder if his and Brimah recent sucess can be attributed to White being such a great facilitator?

To put it into perspective, Livio is younger than Forbes and less than a year older than White and Blossomgame. By no means is he too old to be in Pop's plans.

Livio still had a strong game.

One thing I have noticed is that after Livio had several good games double digits scoring and rebounding his minutes have been reduced to about 15 a game. But while his scoring is down from obvious reduced minutes his percentage is still really good as well as rebounding.
White continues to put up 20 pats a game and it’s easy to see he belongs in the NBA and will be getting minutes next year.

Did not know about Livio. Good for him, I guess. The Spurs tend to not let their assignees play in the d-league post-season, so we may not be seeing White participate. Dunno how the two-way guys will fare, though. Nice to see Blossom still chugging along.

Derrick White seems like a smart player. Good pick-up by the Spurs staff, definitely underrated.
White is a big threat in this environment. He can shoot anywhere and is a good pick and roll playmaker at this level. Good stuff.
Even if White is the best option to start at SG, it more than likely wouldn't happen until Parker retires (not by choice, but I actually think that might be sooner than his goal of 3 more seasons) because that would leave a Mills-Parker backup back court, which makes no sense.
The thing is, this back court is so bad that there isn't a single legit starter or closer in it right now, so White should have the opportunity to play roughly 20 mpg next season and occasionally close. He might even be able to work his way up to a virtual split with Mills.
White seems like a better playmaker than Murray. I see him as the eventual PG although not as strong defensively.
Umm. Parker is getting like 10 min a game now. It depends on Patty. He is our starting sg and we have 50 mill invested in his contract. Then we have Danny Green. He likely is gone. Going to take a one year 15 mill deal somewhere. Forbes will likely be a bench guy next year. Hopefully they trade Mills and Gasol somehow.Quote:

Even though whites shot was off glad to see that he was still contributing in other areas (6 ast, 5 rebounds, 4 steals). Excited to see him play with the big boys next year.

LJC finally looked like he was recovering his form last season. Can probably end up on a higher level Euro team. Metu looks even more promising than Bertans if he can develop his perimeter skills.
Bertans was only promising under the premise that he would be one of the better spot up shooters in the league given his height, quick release, and ability to move around. Not a great defender but has enough effort/athleticism to make plays here and there.Quote:

Yeah but it still takes them time to recover also add that it takes months off their schedule of being physical fit and playing basketball. So you add that Livio was a late bloomer to basketball probably first serious injury he has ever had and then trying to make the Spurs that is a hard road to walk.
He was drafted based on that one game and to be honest he has sucked some is from injury and some he just was not ready. But I give the kid credit he is still trying to make team and even though he was not on a contract still played in Austin and to be honest he played really good. He seemed a lot more confident and was able to do multiple things as far as showing up on stats, rebounds, scoring, assist. If he can improve upon last season then it will be interesting him and Metu battling it out.
As far as White I was saying last year he should have been our PG unlike some people I won't mention names..lol
