Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Go Spurs Go. :flag:
First game blog. We need some freshness out here.
Key points: Defense. Defense has been pretty bad these past few games. If you want to win on the road, you can't play bad defense.
-
Re: Game Blog: San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers 10.30pm ET
i was surprised that there wasn't a game blog even one hour before the game.
I hate these late west coast games.
-
Re: Game Blog: San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers 10.30pm ET
Clippers coach making his debut tonight, they'll probably be playing hard for him..hopefully the Spurs come out with some energy to counter it..
-
Re: Game Blog: San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Clippers 10.30pm ET
I always wondered how dunleavy lasted so long.

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
rip to that poor baby during the pregame special. that was some sad shit.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Playing at home with a new coach?
I have a bad feeling about this game. The Clips are going to be playing their best.
:pctoss
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
if we lose tonight to the fucking clippers a trade needs to be made immediately following the game. i dont give a shit who its for.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Starters: Hill, Parker, McDyess, Duncan, Jefferson
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Finally the Dumbleavy era has come to an end. The Clippers will only get better from here. If I were them, I'd make B Diddy the player-coach and have some fun with it! :lol
As for us, I expect nothing from this team any more... they have proven they don't have what it takes to contend, so I'm just going to enjoy the basketball for what it is and not get too upset when we revert to type and choke. :depressed

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
sean, we can't hear you...NOOOOO lol

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
If the Spurs lose, I am gonna have a hell of a time trolling this forum off.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
So what should we say if Pop gets out coached tonight?

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Tony should have rotated that ball.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
One thing i got frustrated with was missing the open jumpers against the blazers. and im talking about the wide open jumpers. Gotta hit those. Hill starts off well.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
there you go hill, hit that open 3

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Does anyone recall the Rodeo Road Trip beards?
I don't think the team is doing it this year. Is that showing that the team lacks chemistry this season?
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
duncan 0-2 so far, :( early but still :(

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Clippers 4, George Hill 10
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
up 12-4 so, we'll probably be down only by 2 at the end of the qtr! hooray for optimism lol

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
I want the Spurs to dominate the Clippers.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Can someone PM me a link pleazzzzzzzzzzz?
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
I would much rather have McDyess spotting up from 13-18 feet out from Tony/Tim/Manu creating than Camby.
His shot make Marion's look decent. Gross.

Hill was hot. Would have liked to see the team go to him until he goes cold.

18-0 run for spurs...NICE
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Dude, Hill is feeling it. After struggling from the corner against the blazers, he's 3-3 from the 3pt line
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
McDyess' game is gaining steam...
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Jefferson is laughably bad.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Jefferson loses the ball 2 times in a row trying to drive to the basket. I love that he's driving but gotta do better than that
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Damn, RJ being aggressive early, but no luck at the rim. Just stay with it.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
RJ is horrible tonight..if Chris Kaman and his poor D can block you on a dunk attempt, then you just don't have it tonight..
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
CMON, where the heck is the foul on that parker drive???? haha
after 2nd look, it actually looked good lol

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Damn Hill save that for the Lakers.
Thats what frustrates me though. The guys are red hot against crappy teams. but against contenders they miss when we need them to make shots.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
George Hill has definitely come to play on this RRT.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Parker's new nickname should be UTI for all the dribbling he does.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Blair should be the first big sub, not Bonner.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Hopefully this can be the first game where we keep a nice lead.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Kaman averages 1.4 blocks and Duncan 1.8

Dont be surprised if we cool WAY down this same game.

Early knockout punch? :ihit

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Hill wants to beat LeBron today´s performance !!!!!!!

I was going to say how is Jefferson such a soft finisher. He always loses the ball. Manu is a way stronger finisher and he's not as big as RJ.
Does RJ have really small hands or are his huge arms deceiving. Maybe his arms a blow up arms inflated with air and if you touch them they are really soft ;).

yeah, it would have made a difference, if he made of those wide open 3s vs the blazers
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
So Manu can go to the rack and draw a foul, but on 3 drives RJ can't once?
I'm firmly an RJ-hater at this point. The guy has been mostly awful, and I can't wait until he's traded away (next year :depressed ).
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Again, anyone has an ILP account to share, even for a day. I won't whore your account.

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
DeAndre Jordan will break out next year when he takes over Camby's spot.

Well RJ when we first got him I looked at his upper body and thought this guy looks very strong, but since he's been on the Spurs he's one of the softest finishers I've ever seen with that kind of upper body. He seems to lose the ball very easily.

Manu craddles the ball when he penetrates, R.J brings the ball down. Plus Manu is quicker from point A of attack to point B a the rim which makes it more difficult for the opponents to get their hands on the ball, since they have to react quicker when he drives.
It's like baseball. It's easier for most people to hit and catch up to a 75 mph fastball than a 92 mph fastball. ( As stupid as that sounds) Manu being the 92 mph fastball in the lane and R.J being the slow lethargic 75 mph fastball.

RJ has to finish dunks like that over a guy like Kaman..
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Not bad of a score. If the Spurs keep this up, maybe the Clippers will finish with less than 50 points.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
great first quarter by hill
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
RJ has finished better than Manu this year. I don't get the hate. He is struggling, but not to the degree everyone makes it out to be imo.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
So do ya'll still think Hill doesn't have what it takes to be a future star?
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Hill's career high is 23 points.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Manu 'The Momentum Killer'
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Spurs on their way to being an undefeated 18-0 against the J.V teams of the league. yay

So half a foul? That is not a big difference and would have no effect on the game. The block margin is bigger, but Kaman is not some scrub who can't block shots.

I said at the start of the season that letting Turk go was a dumb move, and that VC couldn't fill his role, and I was damn right about that too.

Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Hey those few fans that said George Hill will show us how good he is if he starts and gets a lot more minutes could be right. He's putting up pretty decent numbers since he's been starting again.
17 points in the first quarter for George Hill.
Imagine if Pop didn't bench him last season for no reason whatsoever how much further along he would be. lol just had to throw that in to give Pop a quick jab ;).
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
What a strange first quarter. The Spurs as a team did not really shoot that well, but Hill & Dice did and they caused a lot of turnovers and rebounded well.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
The 28 points is fine but i love the 10 points, we are on pace to hold them to 40 haha
-

I agree. Hedo for VC was bad. To be honest, I think Hedo was the true MVP of that Magic team.
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Sucks that bonner cant hit those shots right now. Whether we want to admit it or not, having his 3 point abilities does help the team
-
Re: Game Blog: Spurs @ Clippers - Feb. 6
Matt Bonner is a slasher!
WTF Manu? The Spurs are shooting sub-50% on technical foul free throws over the last 20 games or so. It's like a curse.
