They are not catching the Cavs, so they will have to settle for 2nd best record anyways. So Kobe should sit.
Like DPG mentioned, this is a lose-lose situation if Kobe's out. If we win, well it will look good in the standings but it will be the second time this season we face an injured Lakers team. If we lose, expect 30 topics of trade rj, sequ threads, it's only february, the dynasty is over, silver lining threads. You know the gist. Oh and it will bring this team down.
It's official - Bynum & Bryant both out tonight.
Just get a win, no matter who's playing and who's not.
Kobe out
Spurs cannot fuck this up...please for the love of Hay-Zeus :(

might be out against Utah aswell
These uniforms the Hornets are wearing are awful.
Bring on the excuses Laker fans if we win.
Bring on the meltdown threads Spurs fans if we lose.
I hate games where the opponent's best player is out..
So KBB & Bynum are out. What else is new for Bynum? It's February. With #24, it's now official that he's been overworked and is human.
Thanks for that link Alchemist.
It might be 2 losses in a row but this is the best time for him to sit out with the All Star game coming up.
I have a feeling he might sit out the 2 games after the ASB too just to maximize the resting time while skipping the fewest games possible.
If the Spurs lose this game, doesn't it basically guarantee a trade? Perhaps worse. Holt could tell Pop and RC that he doesn't want to pay lux tax next season and to salary dump until they are under it.
The Spurs aren't going to lose tonight. No excuses to make, a loss is a loss. I'd rather Kobe get healthy, than risk him getting injured worse just to try to get this win.
I'm pretty sure every Laker fan feels this way.
i dont know what to expect from them anymore really. i literally have no clue how this game will play out
Bill and Klomar will come to play tonight.
Pop's response.
Bryant, Bynum will sit vs. Spurs
By Jeff McDonald
The Spurs will face the Lakers tonight without Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum. Lakers coach Phil Jackson confirmed in his pre-game meeting with reporters that both stars will sit with varying degrees of injury.
Bryant, the NBA's fourth-leading scorer, is officially out with a sprained left ankle, but has suffered a host of maladies over the past two months. Bynum, who scored 23 points against the Spurs earlier this season, is out with a bruised right hip.
Spurs coach Gregg Popovich did not exactly lick his chops when informed of the Lakers' short-handedness.
"I'd rather have it the other way," Popovich said. "It's more a situation where, if you win the game, I don't think you take a whole lot from it. And if you lose the game, you feel like hell."
