Pop Needs to Step Down, and the Spurs Need To Acquire A center... someone Who Is At Least 6'11 who plays Defense, And Rebounds well. Im tired Of Our Centers being Between 6'6 and 6'9...... Sean Elliott is 6'8 might as well bring him out of retirement and start him at center. At least he will knock down a Open shot!
I would not mind Pop moving to the front office and Avery Johnson coming in. It would need to happen after this season though. I want to see Pop turn the corner and at least compete in the playoffs. I don't want him to go out like this. He needs to change his thinking though.
This is why you can no longer really point the finger at any player. The problem starts with Pop and will not start to be solved until Pop ditches the small ball. It does not matter whether he uses more of his own bigs or gets them in a trade. The Spurs are effectively frozen until Pop is able to change his mind.
Whoever we get needs to be smart and mentally strong. Obviously some players just aren't fit for our complicated system, or the pressure of playing on a "contender".

Blatche is the key
The Jefferson deal just killed us.. Manu is not what he was, and RJ needed to pick up the slack on O and play good D. He has done neither..
It all started with the infamous Scola trade :bang
I think most coaches would get more out of the Spurs current personnel including RJ than our dumbfuck coach Pop. He's sooo stupid continuously shuffling the lineup, playing small ball, overplaying undersized poor shooters, not playing the true bigs we have and overworking Tim. No trade will help the Spurs if that player is going to be coached by this moron. McDyess and RJ have been huge disappointments but they should still have had better production at this time.
Why not this one :rolleyes

Well c'mon we don't want to be unfair to the Lakers. They didn't have Bynum remember, it would have been pretty rude for us to take advantage of that by using bigger lineups.
Fortunately Pop realized it before it was too late and played small ball for THE ENTIRE FOURTH FUCKING QUARTER AGAINST THE GOD DAMNED LA LAKERS!:bang
