Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
This was Tp not being aggressive.
-
Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
RJ shouldn't need TP to be aggressive in order to be productive. That's a copout.

Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
Tonight we saw the RJ I feared we'd see this season. Hope we don't see him too many more times this year.
-
Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
it's really, really ridiculous that threads like this--points that were made months ago, and months before that, and months before that--need to be regurgitated. some people need to move on and learn to talk about present circumstances. no one wants to read about what they read two months ago and two months before that.

Guess you've been sitting on this statement all season..Congrats on finally getting to use it. The offense was bad all around minus manu..

You can both fuck off.
I have complemented RJ on his excellent start to the year multiple times, and admitted multiple times that so far I've been wrong. I can't have a joke the first time he really tanks and plays with no aggression? Get a fucking grip, dipshits.

Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
jokes aren't supposed to be predictable, which is why some people need to find find new jokes.
-
Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
Just imagine the potential on this team if Bobby Simmons or Ime Udoka were starting at small forward...

You and your RJ haters club attitude can fuck off. Waiting in the shadows for a bad game so you can vindicate yourself in total douche fashion does not constitute a "joke."

Once again you display to all the fact that you can't read.
1. who has been "waiting in the shadows"? I've been owning up to the fact that I was wrong about RJ and that his game and effort are vastly improved. Ive done so in 4 or 5 threads, and as I said FROM THE START, I'm really happy to be wrong about it. Not enough for you?
2. I wasn't "vindicating myself", I was stating a fact - I hope we don't see this RJ too often. Do you hope we see him play like this all the time?
3. You define the term "seeing what you want to see". You just love to twist other people's words and put your own spin on them. You call me a douche even though I openly admit when I am wrong, so what the fuck does that make you?

Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
The bitter little bitch is you, bro. Bitter about a 40 million dollar contract. Bitter you've looked a fool the vast majority of this admittedly young season. I can read just fine, and I don't believe a word of it. You've already made your position clear: you want RJ to fail so you can be right. We all know this.
nice ninja edit on the "bitter little bitch" insult, tbh.

Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
In his first 10 games, RJ shot 50% or better 8 times out of 10.
In the last 6 games, he's shot 40% or worse 5 times out of 6.

Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
It is what it is. He's streaky as hell, obviously. At least some have the heart to support him both when he sucks and when he's dominating.

Yes, you know what I'm thinking despite what I say to the contrary. Why do you read message boards when obviously you are a mind-reader and can state the truth regardless of other people's actual stated opinions? :rolleyes
I have been a Spurs fanatic for 20 years but I want RJ to fail and hurt the team - can't you see how absurd that is? I stated from the start that I hoped he didn't fail even though it would prove me wrong (unlike most people, I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong), have stated multiple times in various threads since that so far I have been proven wrong and that I'm really enjoying watching his play this year, and yet you still cling to your little theory? Pathetic.

These are "present circumstances" and it appears RJ has mentally bailed & gone right back to his old self. Not surprising, really.

Don't mind Zosa, he's going for the "most butthurt poster of the year", and he's got a lot of competition..

Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
Whatever, Ruff. You can't support the spurs yet hate on one of their cog players every time you can. It doesn't go both ways. You've said you want to be proven wrong, true. You've always said at least you'll have some vindication of being right whenever you're not. It is what it is, like I just said. All I do is support the men in black.

which obviously would include you, if such an award existed. but why compete for most butthurt, when you've got "biggest dumbass" locked up?

The competition is tight this year!
-
Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
You gotta give RJ a pass... obviously, he wasn't going to shoot 60% for the year, but this was his very first game where he looked like last season. If he keeps on adding games like this one, then you turn on the warning light.
I do want to point out what I think it's a misconception around here though. That you might not like a player in the roster doesn't mean you don't support the team. It's actually the contrary. Because you want the team to succeed, and because somebody opines that a player is counterproductive to that goal, they're simply pointing that out.
Almost everyone here has complained about a player at some point. Be it Bogans, Mason, Udoka, Mahinmi, Neal, Finley, Elson, Bonner, and obviously RJ.
I don't believe for a second that whoever does that is not a fan. I think at the end of the day they want the same as everyone else: the TEAM to win.

Me butthurt? What do I have to butthurt about? I'm not the one crying and throwing a tantrum about other people's opinions.
-
Re: The official "He'll be better in his second year" thread
Nono, Like I said then, and have said this thread.. I understand a lot of the hate is warranted, for the exact reason you say: counterproductive to the the "goal."
but doing it just so you can have some vindication is disgusting.. which is why I'm so "butthurt" (not) about ruff.. he does always seem to have the team's back, but hating just so you can be right? ..
