Anybody gonna put a few cold ones back tonight? Any wine connoisseurs in the house?
I am going to. I enjoy a good wine and know a little but would not call myself a connoisseur.
When my Mavericks play I only drink German beer for Dirk.
I used to drink Canadian beer for Nash
got some coronas in the fridge with
some lime salt
I will have my children in-tow, so my beverage of choice will be either a nice, chilled bottle of WATER....or a refreshingly cold, over CO'2 Diet Coke from the fountains of the SBC.
:drunk :fro
Do those boxes of wine they sell at Diamond Shamrock count?? If so then hell yeahs.Quote:

kskonn, I just got back from a little getaway to Rio Grande do Sul (southernmost State in Brazil) and toured some nice vineyards near Bento Gonçalves (Vale dos Vinhedos). I've got some good Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Chardonnays to work on. Very, very good quality wines! But to answer my own question, I've got some serious training tonight and since its a Tuesday I'll probably go light. Maybe a couple glasses of Pinot Noir.
LOL! Just answered this on another thread...
Guinness and Tecate are my Spurs drinks of choice.
What is a good but inexpensive Merlot?
I'll be going to a bar to watch the game as usual, so I'll be enjoying some spirits. I usually start with a good local microbrew on special, then I'll have something else local, then I'll finish up with two Miller Lites or some other cheap beer.
Unfortunately, the bar I frequent closed last night and will remain closed for about three weeks while they move to a new location. I'll have to find a new place to watch the game tonight, and I'll have to compete with a Red Sox west-coast late game.
I might need to change my routine tonight though. It hasn't been working.
Got some Sam Adams getting cold in the fridge just waiting for game time. :)

If we lose I'm drinking a bottle of Absinthe...
I can't change now, it has got us this far, so i will stay with the miller lite... staying with it unless some how, not realistic, that we play pacers, i won't be drinking miller then (afraid it may help bring on miller time)!!!!
:lol
that lactose intolerant thing gets in the way

Valium, 10 mg.

I had some of that shit in Spain once, and it fucked me up hard. It led to a hangover the next day that wasn't anything like your typical alcohol hangover. I felt like I had been stomped on over and over again by Danny Fortson.Quote:

I might actually have to consume my first alcoholic beverage since my post-game binge fiesta in Phoenix a few months back.
On a side note, I think I see nipple on that SKOL girl. Sweet!
Dude that crap is bad for you, wait till you find out later when they have a huge recall on it, Besides it keeps you from having a decent erection,Quote:

Skol is the best selling beer brand in Brazil, and this country of 180 million loves beer. Brazilians drink their beer ice cold. If a beer is served just cold, its usually thrown out. Aaah, nothing like it. And, yes, that model is hot. Dime a dozen in Sao Paulo and on down south, no kidding. And for all you single dudes, my city, Uberlandia, pop. 750,000, has an absurd ratio of around 4-5 women to every man. Amazing.
And another thing, single dude, if you are an American you are golden. Brazilian ladies love the American men!
Okay, we're getting off topic here. :lol
Brazil has cooled beer, Hot coffee, and topless girls on the beach?
why don't we have a GTG in your town?
And also a high number of indiviudals with AIDS, but by all means make the trip and meet the girls.

Lol, Grande David, Skol, in my taste, is the best Brazilian beer, to be served very cold!
As for tonight, I'll be having an Argentinian Cabernet Sauvignon, it's getting colder here, so wine will be the drink of choice.
If we win, it will bring happiness, if we lose, a sad drunken state! :drunk

On topic, there's a six-pack of Sam Adams in the fridge waiting for tipoff.
While you all are shrivelling up your livers I'll be enjoying a nice tall glass of freshly squeezed juice.
Booze in moderation won't hurt your liver.

Me? I love a nice, tall, cold glass of milk and some cookies.
Something with NO caffeine
A double shot of Saki with a lemon twist.
I already have a sixpack of Killian's Red cooling down in the fridge.
Since it's Thursday, I'm definitely takin the Bacardi out of the freezer this time.
Coffee....freaking late games are killing me.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
My beverage of choice will be none of the above. The f-ing game starts at 11:30 PM here and is not being televized in this piece of sh!t country called Brazil. Okay, I'm just being harsh. I could follow it on nba.com audio pass, but I'll have faith that the Spurs will close it out and I'll let the good news be a pleasant surpise to me when I boot up the computer in the morning.

Lithium just turns you into a zombie - and not in the good, fun way - in the sad lobotomy kind of way. I'll stick to Vicodin.Quote:

Jekka, they're hard to find right now, but not for much longer. Its a maturing industry down here and Brazilian wines have done well in Brazil, South America, Japan and Europe. Very soon will be going to the U.S. The problem is that as a rule of thumb they are slightly more expensive than Argentinian and Chilean wines and without country brand recognition, it'd be a tough sell in the U.S. Now that costs are going down somewhat, I hear that soon they'll be cracking the U.S. market.
Brazil has good beers, but their wines are just awful. And not because some kind of Argentina vs. Brazil rivalry, just because they don't have the weather and the soil to cultivate grapes. Most of the wine consumed in Brazil comes from Argentina or Chile.Quote:

One of my friends had a bottle of cachaca around a couple years ago and we made caipirinhas - absolutely fabulous. I will have to try Brazilian beer though, and I'll probably try Brazilian wine at least once if they ever make their way up to the US.Quote:
