I don't think it was a coincidence. I think they chose it because of historical significance. However, you think they chose it because its a spot where black Muslims ruled from and not just because its an important spot in Spain's history.

Personally, I think that if you guys REALLY think that the choice of this particular vacation spot for FLOTUS's mother/daughter trip was just a random coincidence then you are insulting the intelligence of the FLOTUS.
