A lot of you may not like this opinion, but if Blair becomes too reliant on a mid-range jump shot, it will take away a lot of his strengths away such as offensive rebounding because he would be "spacing the floor" and thus be further away from th ebasket, resulting in reduced offensive rebounding.

I'd prefer he make a big step in his team defense. Don't give a shit if he ever shoots a jumper. He's good at being in the paint and not getting in the way. That makes him the perfect guy to have next to Duncan or Splitter. The Spurs should want Blair to get the vast majority of his points without having to run plays for him. That means the only time they should be passing him the ball is when his defender leaves him to cover the other big.
