Woods is bigger than Jackson, too. Woods can be a combo safety, he can both play center field when Byron lines up on DEs AND he can play SS in the box on early and short yardage downs... Many comparing him to Darren Woodson already. 2nd-3rd round talent we got in the 6th, no drug or character issues, maybe the steal of the draft.

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
The only thing I didn't like was trading down late in the 6th when we could have had DT Qualls instead of DT Ivie who is inferior. We didn't need that big slow WR in the 7th and we still could have had Marquez White, or better, Myrick the one the Jags got after us.

Can we just get rid of that fucker already? And give DeMarcus Lawrence #94. Maybe that's the missing thing of our pass rush. #94 as the leading pass rusher is a Cowboy tradition and it's the only way we can have a dominant pass rush.

I give our draft an "A-".
Not sold on Taco yet as a pass rusher, he isn't a speed or finesse rusher at all or doesn't seem to be. But he's the 2nd best DE we've got after a healthy Lawrence and he's outstanding against the run. Essentially a lot of bull rushers and very little speed or finesse on the team other than Mayowa. I guess Marinelli's plan is to shut down the run first and foremost, and use a slew of young elite DBs to cover the extra second to give the power rushers enough time to bully through offensive lines and get the quarterback.
I like Awuzie as the CB2 of the future, lining up against the #2 outside receiver while Brown lines up against the #1 outside receiver. He easily could have been picked late 1st/early 2nd and would have in any other draft.
Lewis is a hell of a slot corner and should have been a first rounder and would have been so if not for the misdemeanor dv charge which won't be a big deal going forward as long as he stays away from shitty women and doesn't do it again.
Switzer is a backup slot receiver for now but a great insurance policy if Cole Beasley goes down. Before today, if Cole Beasley went down, the offense would suffer greatly as he's a key cog that Dak relies upon each and every passing down. Now, we have a viable insurance who will learn from and eventually replace Beasley. Maybe an overdraft, but we needed to address this at some point. Also hopefully puts Lucky Whitehead out of a job at PR while one of the fast DBs can take the KR job.
As aforementioned, Woods is someone I've wanted since round 2 and would not have been an overdraft if we took him instead of Awuzie or Lewis. Instead, we got both of them AND Woods, who is a heck of a safety and has a chance to form a top tier safety tandem of the future with Byron Jones. Not the tallest SS like Chancellor or Church, but a fast and intelligent cover DB who can hit nonetheless and still be a force in the run game. He also is a finisher and playmaker who actually gets the interceptions which has been the one glaring issue for Byron Jones his first two years in the league. It's not obvious who is the FS and SS anymore between Jones and Woods, but bottom line is both should be a force to be reckoned with and help make the secondary tough to beat and the cover 2 impossible to throw deep on. Add in the DBs we got in rounds 2-3... just wow. Given a little time to gel, Legion of Boom 2.0 is their floor, not their ceiling.
Marquez White seems okay, a little slow but maybe a good option to guard TEs and possession receivers, especially in red zone and similar situations. Someone to stop the tight end from converting on 3rd & 4, so to speak. Good potential but will be buried under the more accomplished corners for now.
The 7th round picks I wasn't impressed with at all, but they're 7th round picks so they'll more than likely be on the practice squad year 1. Ivie won't make the team. Noah Brown is another Andy Jones for now. Carrell is a nice practice squad body.
The main disappointment is that, even though we drafted 2 WRs, neither of them are fast enough to fill our main hole at receiver, which is running the 9-route. You need that smaller 4.4 or better guy to blow the top off the defense with deep vertical routes, and the Cowboys still don't have one of those despite them being available late on the board. I understand we're a possession offense, but there are situations (end of half, losing, losing late etc) where, no matter how you plan not for them to come up, they come up anyway as it's the nature of the game. You need guys to run deep vertical routes and beat DBs with speed, and we don't have any. A bit of a bummer.
But an overall outstanding draft, it won't be as talked about as last year's epic draft for us but it will be close behind, and better than that if you consider where we had to pick from this year every round versus last year's draft position.

I swear I think the Cowboys have an agreement with Jerry Jones. They just let him fuck around with that 2nd round pick as long as he lets McClay and Stephen take care of the rest.

Yeah man its fucking retarded already. Tired of Jerry sugar coating these retards not named Dez Bryant. He can beat his mother, he produces and doesn't seem to start problems within the team.

Was Randle ever a troubled player in college? I can't remember but I thought he was relatively ok until he started going full retard the summer Demarco Murray left and he got the starting job. The rest of those guys...lol
Jerry is stupid enough to think that they have a Patriots "My way or the Highway", well respected franchise when in fact, they are probably the worst spot for these guys to end up. Extra media attention plus a pushover head coach who thinks he's some grandmaster zen Buddhist wannabe when in reality, he's a faggot.

Randles problems started in Dallas, but they (the team) stuck with him. When a guy with money gets busted stuffing underwear down his pants at a Dillards, that should have been the red flag of what was to come. 5 arrests later and here we are.

The sad part was that Randle was more talented than Murray and could have been as good as Zeke if he wasn't such a screw-up. Which meant we could have had Bosa or Ramsey today and still had a top notch running game. Damn it.

He's still technically on the Cowboys, unfortunately, unless we've cut him since this incident. It's because we re-signed him to a 1 year contract last offseason and he wasn't active for even one week/game.
Either way he is done. Gregory needs to be cut next. We have way enough DEs now

Meh. 5th corner on the team, might have been cut in August anyways.
Brown/Awuzie/Scandrick/Lewis are all better than him, in that order (for now). If the Cowboys really must carry 5 corners on the 53, they can always roll with 6th round rookie Marquez White or last year's holdover Leon McFadden (not a fan of him, but it's the 5th corner so who cares?)
Carroll was always a lot like Brandon Browner. A zone corner that did okay against bigger slower receivers but was always torched by speed and committed a lot of defensive fouls. Won't be missed.

Yeah... and who the fuck DOESN'T go at least 100 mph on the DNT/121 tollways? You're weird if you don't go at least 90, honestly. I've rode around with guys who went easily 115+, sober, when there was very little traffic (especially at night).
One time with a realtor who was renting a BMW for his friend's bachelor party... he got up to about 127 on the DNT around the Willow Bend area with me riding shotgun. It was glorious.

That includes third party endorsements, we're talking about employer salary/money made actually PLAYING the sport, here. Please don't move the goal post.
So Lebron is at around $30 million. If I were him, since he makes around $56 million from endorsements anyway, why doesn't he agree to only get paid say $1m/year by the Cavs so other, less-endorsed superstars can join the team and he can win again being the underpaid alpha hero?

Ronaldo's salary is 32 million Euros. Messi's, 40 million. Those pro soccer players make a ton of money. If you take the top paid 30 soccer players and compare them to the top paid 30 US athletes, I think it would disprove your comment about only the US having highly paid athletes.

Could be, but I read he will be competing with Morris. If Morris gets cut it saves Jerry about $1.6M. My guess is that Hillman will "win" this battle. ;)

He wasn't productive. Whenever we put him in the game to rest Zeke a bit early in the season, the offense tended to bog down.

I think Zeke gets suspended next week. Heard a theory that the NFL is delaying any announcement until after the HOF induction this weekend. If that's the case, it's clearly a suspension of some sort.
Big question is how many games. I'm guessing 2.

I don't think it will be final though, it will be appealed to zero or maybe just the week of practice before game 1
The "incident" in question happened BEFORE he even got drafted and was part of the NFL. They can't hold him to standards that happened when he was in college and not employed by the NFL (or any other employer, for that matter). That's illegal. Plus, the court of law acquitted him, so that would be obstruction of justice on the part of Goodell and his cronies. Trump needs to crack down on this madness. A 5-10 year federal prison sentence (the pen with the thugs, not the white collar phony office "prison") per offense for Goodell would be a good thing and set a good example.

Good points. Maybe Jerry has threaten the NFL with succession and the possibility of starting a new league. With the Draconian rules the NFL has in place, I think that most of the top tier players would quit and join a Jerry backed league.

Some scene at a train station where they are boarding to go to the school.

Movie wise, 1, 2, and 8 are the best, by far. 4 and 7 were done well and accurately enough, they're the second tier. 5 and 6 are mediocre. 3 was awful and a complete disgrace to the book.
Book wise, 3 is one of the best ones however.

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
According to Chris Carter, Zeke suspension imminent. And for more than a couple of games.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...tt-suspension/
Quote:
Via Ryan Glasspiegel of TheBigLead.com, Carter said on FS1’s
Undisputed that “in the next 48 hours
I would be shocked if Zeke was not suspended.” Carter added that, “based on the information that’s going to come out, it’s going to be fairly easy to determine that something happened to this woman in her four days of being with Zeke.” (The specific allegation is that Elliott committed five acts of domestic violence in a six-day window.)
Carter described the situation as a case of “assault or domestic violence,” and Carter hinted that “when the information comes out there’s going to be some similarities” to Tom Brady’s suspension, including “information that he had been advised possibly to give up, that was destroyed.”

If there is a suspension, it will be appealed, and he'll play the first few games at least, backfiring on the Giants fan "lead investigator".

It depends on how long. If it's two games, he just needs to accept that shit. If it's four, I don't know.

It'll be four reduced to two after the appeal.

Appeal it and get suspended for games against weaker defensive teams than NYG and @ DEN.

I think they lose those games with or without Zeke. Anyway, their schedule is tough enough anyway. Not sure if they are able to time an appeal so they know what games he would miss.

Have to win the NYG home game this year. It's in the division and we can't lose 3 in a row to them (actually 4).
It's ok to lose @ DEN

You make no sense. If it doesn't matter if they lose to the Broncos, then why not go ahead and risk the one game loss to the Giants in the beginning. Not knowing when a decision on an appeal would come through.
Would suck for it to happen in back to back NFC games including a division game.

You can't start 0-2, that's generally a permanent hole.
You don't want to concede the home game out of the two you play against your most fierce division rival, that's stupid.
