looks like starting c andre gurode could be on the way out if he doesnt restructure his deal...
Costa didn't play last night, he got hurt in practice early last week I believe.
yeah nothing like starting 3 rookie ol up front
Looks like they did better than restructuring his deal.

lol Jerry Jones as a GM
When Andre Gurode learned from Jason Garrett that he was being cut, he snapped at him. But unfortunately, the snap was high.
Tbh the moves Dallas has made will make their O-line better in the long run. Culombo, Davis and Gurode have been overrated since the 2007 season and they all got fat/old/stopped caring. Smith at RT with Free at LT is a good foundation for their line going forward.
The Cowboys offensive line is starting to turn from a "who's who" to a "who are you?"
Wouldn't have thought the probable Cowboys kicker wasn't even on the roster yet.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones: RB Phillip Tanner (Kimball) has made the team
By Brandon George / Reporter
8:27 PM on Thu., Sep. 1, 2011
Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said on the Ch. 11/CBS telecast tonight of the Cowboys-Miami Dolphins preseason game that running back Phillip Tanner of Kimball will make the final 53-man roster.
Jones was asked how can you tell a guy who has done everything Tanner has in the preseason he's not going to make the team, and Jones said, "You don't." Then he was asked, so he's on the team? "You got him," Jones said.
"He's special. His coach says, 'I've never seen a kid like this.' You've never seen anybody who takes every note, that tries every way in the world he can to get better plus he's talented. I don't know that I have the courage. I'm too interested in the Dallas Cowboys. We may have four backs."
Jones had said previously in the preseason that he'd only have three running backs on the final 53-man roster. He now says there "may" be four. That means Tashard Choice is on the bubble with the Cowboys having to get down to 53 players by Saturday afternoon. Choice didn't make the trip to Miami with a bruised knee and missed most of the preseason with a calf injury. Third-round draft pick DeMarco Murray was very impressive against Miami tonight, and Felix Jones is the starter.
Jones said he was pleased with Murray, who started the game by taking a screen pass 48 yards down the sideline.
"He did for us tonight what he did at Oklahoma," Jones said. "His hands are his big thing. He's a power runner with a lot of burst. You saw it all out there tonight. He's a guy who had three practices, came in and you saw how he played last week. We're really pleased with that. He's going to help us this year."

And it really sucks what happened to Raymond Radway tonight. Hope he gets better soon. 3 seconds left in the game..really thought he had a shot to make this team...now he's out. Poor guy
wonder what this rb news means for tashard

Really surprised about Manny Johnson and Owusu-Ansah. Guess we're hitting the waiver wire.
Montrae Holland got cut.
Igor Olshansky?
I haven't watched much preseason, was he really that bad?
wtf they cut Igor?
was actually a bit surprised they cut gronkowski who indi picked up but i dont know much about the fb dallas added either
newman&martellus out v nyj
How ugly is the OL going to be now that Smith is out, too? Sure going to be fun watching those Ryan overloads and delayed blitzes on SNF.
Sanchez factor is still there, but who is going to cover Holmes? Ball?

Yo I wish JJ would get rid of Newman's underachieving ass.
Can't wait until tonight!!! It'll be an emotional night at the meadowlands, but I'm sure it won't affect either team. The Jets fucking suck on openers and tonight might not be so different. Either way, it's going to be a good one
I wonder if they'll gay it up a bit and show baby pics of the Ryan brothers like they did the Mannings a few years ago.
Don't see this one going well for my Cowboys.
Jets 31
Cowboys 20
Romo is a playoff veteran and will dominate the rookie jets
it will probably be close but I have a feeling it will be like last year's opener vs Washington.
Jets make a defensive stand at the end to hang on
Jets 17
Cowboys 10
I'm not a big predictor of scores, however I'm pretty confident that following this game, the flight from the Big Apple to Big D will be so devoid of noise that one could just about listen to the sounds of a schedule consisting of 16 games falling i said

Dallas Chokeboys
I got over this loss about 5 minutes after it ended. After the Mavs won it all, I decided I couldn't bitch about anything sports related for at least a few years.
I got over it right away, tbh. It sucked, but it's only Week 1. One game...we weren't expected to win this one anyway. It is what it is. Dez showed what he could be, and for a team using our 4th and 5th DBs in the 1st and 2nd spot for most of the night, we didn't do half bad.
finally got over that loss time for the niners baby!!
Terence Newman is out...good news or bad news?
At least they'll be facing Alex Smith.
ROFL
gordo fucking rules
The Romo INT intended for Bryant.
Any interviews/comments from any of the 'Bois about whether the wrong route was run?
Wow! Homo made that throw on his own? That is some serious chokeage.

Tony Romo's pain key to status
By Tim MacMahon
ESPNDallas.com
IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones doesn't know whether quarterback Tony Romo will be able to play in Monday night's game against the Washington Redskins, saying the decision would primarily be based on Romo's pain management.
Romo suffered a cracked rib and small puncture of his lung on the Cowboys' first series in Sunday's overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers. Romo sat out all but 37 seconds of the third quarter, as the medical staff wanted him to wait for pain-killing medicine to take effect. He completed 12 of 16 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown after his return, leading a rally from a 10-point deficit.
The punctured lung was discovered in a CT scan Monday, which revealed evidence of pneumothorax, a collection of air or gas around the lungs.
"I don't know. I really don't," Jones said when asked Tuesday on KRLD-FM whether Romo would play against the Redskins. "I understand the nature of the injury as much as you can without being in medicine. We'll just have to see how it goes. It has everything to do with just his ability to handle the pain, and we know he has a bunch of it.
"We'll see how that goes. He'll be monitored obviously extremely closely regarding the pneumothorax and we'll see how it goes."
Coach Jason Garrett said Monday that he "would not think there's any reason [Romo] won't play Monday." Garrett did not mention the lung puncture, but the Cowboys were aware of the condition before his news conference.
Romo said firmly after Sunday's game that he planned to play against the Redskins. He figured that if he could finish the game against the 49ers, he'd be able to play eight days later.
"I can't imagine [the pain] being any worse," Romo said.
It was Romo's decision to return to Sunday's game, and Jones indicated that the quarterback could have the final say about his status again Monday night.
"More important than anything, I think that you just have to depend upon in this case the player, in this case Tony's sense of what his body is telling him," Jones said on KRLD-FM. "That's what he did, and he ultimately, of course, was told to sit out when he came out but didn't honor that. We allow players to give us those kinds of reads in most areas with the exception of your concussion area and your head area."
The Cowboys do not expect Miles Austin, Romo's No. 1 receiver, to be available against the Redskins after aggravating a hamstring strain originally suffered in August. Sources told ESPNDallas.com on Monday that Austin could be out through the Cowboys' Week 5 bye.
"I'm probably pretty negative on Miles getting to play [against the Redskins]," Jones said.
Jones said Austin was "almost a game-time decision" against the 49ers because of soreness and tightness in the hamstring. However, the official injury report listed Austin as probable with a knee injury, making no mention of his hamstring.

newman should be back v was, mccann just odd man out i guess with walker in fold
they may try and pick him up again after this week, but we will see.
let's hope we can get over a 100 yards running. We should trace Choice for a future draft pick and a db. The future is in Demarco Murray, Felix doesn't hit the hole hard enough, pause.
Lol cowboys averaging 55 yards rushing per game
Gotta run the ball well tonight to limit hits on romo. Demarco wil be used a lot.
lol Cowboys allowing 40 yards rushing to opposing teams
But whom has Dallas faced that has had a really good running game? The New York Jets and San Francisco are notoriously bad at running the football and it showed in the games against Dallas. Conversely the Redskins are averaging 123 a game against two pretty good defenses in the New York Giants and Arizona.
The Redskins O-line has been gashing huge holes in defenses and dominating play at the line of scrimmage. I don't see that changing tonight against Dallas' overrated front seven. The defensive front seven has also been kicking ass lately as well. Between Brian Orakpo and rookie star Ryan Kerrigan, Romo/Kitna will have a nightmare night.
try again faggot

Looks like bresilsac is just another shitty grey name poster with terrible takes.
tbh i used to know him as the guy who had ridiculous rants and did cool satanic chants before every Redskin-Cowboy game. Now he lost all credibility
A couple of things:
Their lack of depth at key positions like WR and DB. Going into the season with just Miles and Dez and a bunch of scrubs at WR- pathetic.
Garrett's play calling at crucial moments. Two straight weeks playing for long FGs with a rookie kicker. 3 straight runs, and even worse, dumbass Tashard still ran out of bounds, saving Redskins a TO. At least take one shot downfield.
dez highly questionable not able to practice at all this week ....fck
Maybe if he'd show up on time and actually make all of his rehab sessions he'd be a better bet to practice and better condition to play.
Just a thought.

Nice catch sons...forget the straight runs and sweeps....draw plays and scree passes...then playaction and go deep and down the middle. neutralize their rush

Shit playing calling......DAMNNNNNNNNN YOU...what an idiot coach....JONES IS NOT A POWER RUNNER.
SPREAD THE FIELD WITH 3-4 WR if you want to run it....STUPIOD JACKASS

If that was 2007 Marion Barber, that would have been automatic.
Bryant with two impressive touchdowns in the first half
Cowboys OL looking a lot better this week. Romo is getting plenty of time. We BETTER hold on to Robinson after Miles gets back. Send Ogletree packing.
Its been a while since ive seen a dallas defense play as well as this unit has over the past game and a half. Very happy to go into the half allowing only 3 points.
Heeeere we go.
Romo is a piece of trash :elephant
Are you fucking kidding me?
"good job defense, but I think the lions need some points."
Now that's the Romo I have come to know
Up 6 now..in full choke mode. Come on offense..get to work.
Wow fuck tony romo. This game wouldnt even be close if this fuckface could make good decisions.
three defenders on him and he owns you .... Lol pathetic
