I honestly don't understand why the 'Boys didn't just pack it in once Romo went down. I'm still frustrated about the whole "playing for pride" motto this season.
FUCK that. "Play for picks."

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
When you're making Rex Grossman look like Dan Marino, you got problems.

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
Alan Ball has been such a fail all season

Yeah, I agree! The team would've been better off keeping Wade and not winning anymore games. But the Cowboys have Garrett who is "auditioning" for the HC job and it's all about getting "W's".

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
Fuck you wade phillips, if it wasn't for you, the boys would be in contention right now.

Have fun with this one, from the local fishwrap:

And now, some of you hope those rumors out of Dallas are true — that Jerry Jones wants to put together a package and trade for Stafford.
I laughed.

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
Mcgee for Stafford straight up.

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
The Boys should use their first pick on the OkSt kicker. Guy drilled a 50 yarder like it was nothing. :lol
At least draft a kicker, not just hope one falls into your lap. I'd wait until the 5th round at least, but try and get a good one. It does help you win games you know.

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
You would think Marioin Barber has ZERO chance at making next years roster.

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
With the Rob Ryan hiring, the defense should improve tenfold. Some changes I'd make on the defensive side of the ball are: Trade/Cut Newman(old and overrated), put Ball back to db( he sucks at safety), move Ratliff to de, start Brent at dt(?)start Sean Lee.
As far as free agency goes I'd bring in Michael Huff from Oakland. He is good at pass protection, solid tackler and knows Ryan's scheme. Picking up a good dt would be nice too, Haloti Ngata or Wilfork.
In the draft I'd pick either Patterson or Akamura, whichever one is left. If they are both gone, I'd trade down and pick up a OL or draft a DE.

Rofl yeah, just pick up 1 of the two best 3-4 nose tackles in the NFL, I'm sure it won't be that hard.

Why would it be hard if he's a free agent?

Re: All Inclusive Cowboys Thread
Yeah, why would it be hard? Everyone knows that playing with a star on your helmet is the dream of every NFL player.

Probably because the asking price is too high, and not a top priority for the Boys.

Link for the asking price please.
And the DL is one of the top priorities going into next year. Spears and Olshanksy are both scrubs.

1) Wilfork isn't a free agent
2) Ngata is likely to be paid more than Wilfork was last year and get the biggest NT contract in NFL history, assuming there still is a salary cap with the CBA, the Cowboys probably don't have the cap room to shell out a contract that big without losing another major player.
3) They won't be the only team in the NFL going after Ngata if Baltimore lets him hit free agency.
4) Baltimore has a franchise tag to prevent him from hitting free agency.

Trill Clinton is right, why would it be hard, who wouldn't wanna play for the best non-playoff team in NFL history?

My bad, Kyle. The "he" I was referencing to was Ngata.
Wilfork isn't a longshot though. He is getting up there in age and the Patriots have a history of getting rid of their stars who are getting long in the tooth. It wouldn't surprise me if they tried to trade him for picks.
As far as Ngata, we'll see come March 4th. If they don't tag him by then I still don't see how it would hard for ANY team with enough cap to try to sign him.

:lmao:lmao:lmao are you fuckin retarded, Wilfork isn't even 30 yet and the Patriots gave him a 5 year contract not even a full year ago. He's easily their most valuable player not named Tom Brady. The Patriots get rid of players when they're at the very least a few years into their 30s and in the last year of their deal. They don't get rid of a 29 year old probowl nose tackle whose still in his prime and has 4 years left on his deal.

Richard Seymour was 28 or 29 when they traded him to Oakland and he was their most valuable player not named Tom Brady at the time.
