I just thought Spurs had more class than to think about their Finals MVP when they haven't even gotten there yet.

First of all, hi! Welcome to ST. We always love having posters who are new to the game of basketball and the Internet. I'm DPG and I'm here to help you in any way I can. It's a busy time here on ST so apologies in advance if you go unnoticed completely. Please feel free to run your posts by me for feedback if you are at all apprehensive about your knowledge. Remember, there are no dumb takes, just dumb posters! Here at ST, we are better than you and we know it !©
Voted for Timmy.
If the Spurs won the title and they had a dominating inside presence to balance their outside shooting it would be perfect.
Patty Mills
You know the difference between lefty and Jazz posters? Lefty is funny.
Hypothetically, from the whole Spurs legacy perspective, it's best that Tim gets the award. With the 4th Finals MVP, Tim will definitely secure a position at All-time top 10 (To many people he is borderline top 10 right now), and may even be able to push for top 5.
While for Manu and Tony, Finals MVP or not, they'll be in Hall of Fame, but would not be seen as the all-time greatest players either way. But Tim being a top 5 will add great honor to the whole Spurs franchise.
But of course, as long as we can get the championship, it does not matter that Byars wins the Finals MVP.
I think Manu getting the award would be better legacy for the Spurs team, it will give true meaning to the "big three" as they would be the only "big three" with a finals MVP while playing together
Matt Bonner.
I voted for TD just because i think it'd be awesome that he was the finals MVP in '99, and 13 years later he's still our foundation. Manu would be sick too, and Tony deserves it for the year he's had
Tony Parker. He's been the MVP all season, and he will have to play at an MVP level for the Spurs to win the title, so he's the obvious choice. Although I understand why Manu is the sentimental choice.
Manu.... I think if all the big 3 got one FMVP, then the dynasty would really solidify
Whoever plays the best.
Timmy. Anything that bolsters his legacy even more, I want that. He needs to be compared with Kareem when he retires.
Manu for me ! would be nice to have the big three with a finals mvp, great picture !
Ginobili. That way all of the Big Three would have at least one apiece.
Kind of like how I wished Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin could have won a Super Bowl MVP apiece each.
would love for manu to get one...he would of had one in 05 but the injurie cost him
This is exactly the reason I want Tim to have the 4th MVP. Tony's MVP was well deserved, but Spurs fans all know Tim was the foundation and the best player in that 07 team. Bottom line, Tim was the primary reason we were able to play at the championship level.
While in 06, Wade (phantom calls regardless) was head and shoulder's above everybody else in Heat, even more so than Tim in 07 for Spurs. And I think Mourning was much more important than Shaq. However, people only remember that both Shaq and Tim have 4rings and 3 Finals MVP.
Spurs fans are getting overconfident, fwiw, imo, tbh.
Either one would be great as long as we get the larry obrien trophy!
