I wouldnt say I hate the Mavs, I just know that when we play them, there's no doubt it'll be a tough game...Terry is funny because of the amount of Sh*t he talks but it doesnt bother me...I actually think they're team is stacked..makes for a better night when you know our Spurs are facing a tough opponent and no blowout is expected..
i thought it was funny after they beat us they asked terry if he knew about them ending our winning streak and he said he dident know about it!!!!
They play us tough every time and the amount of respect they get you'd think they were with 4 rings. Smh

What makes me hate them the most is that they (the players and Cuban) and the fans act like they've accomplished something.

Sorry, I don't hate the Mavs...I think JET is a jerk, Cuban's a bit of a whiner, and some of their fans have an undeserved sense of entitlement, but Dirk is sheer greatness. If it can't be the Spurs, I'd rather see Dallas win it all over the Heat, Lakers, Celtics, etc.
What I can't stand about them [Cuban fits into this] is their arrogance. This sense of entitlement. All that screaming, jet wings spread, tounge sticking out cocky B.S. like saying "They don't want to see us in the playoffs" and crap. It's teams like them I actually hate more than the Lakers.
Kobe and some of his team [and coach at times] can be arrogant as hell, we all know this. However like it or not, they've won championships. So while that attitude is obnoxious and annoying, they've put their money where thier mouth is multiple times.

Honestly, I didn't hate the Mavs too much until 2006. I think that Game 7 stopped a legitimate chance at a title (which the Mavs subsequently flubbed and gave to Shaq) and possible threepeat.
I also hate Dirk simply because he's a Mav, but you gotta respect his game. The guy is automatic seemingly every time he plays against us, like a gottamn robot or something.

Jason Terry. But also because they always manage to push themselves into another gear when they play the Spurs. It would be nice to take a W on them for granted, but in the end that's what makes it a great rivalry.
No hate for Mavs fans, once a series is over they accept the outcome and go about their business in the next round or offseason. Plus, they've got enough having an owner who cares about his team rather than just having it be a business investment, MVP caliber star player, and good role players without having a damn thing to show for it.
The only thing that bugs me about Mav fans (and this doesn't just apply to the nutjobs down in the cellar) is that they feel the need to start running their mouth as soon as they find out you're a Spurs fan. Which is fine with me, because I know what the scoreboard reads at the end of the day....and that they'll still be stuck rooting for the Mavericks.Quote:

I don't generally "hate" other teams although Jason Terry is a punk. It is the fans of the other teams that breed contempt on my part.
Mav fan, Laker fan, Sun fan are the worst. Kobe for all his foibles is one helluva a player. Dirk is amazing and Nash is a good guy as well but I love to root against them and their fans make the victories all the more sweeter.
I hate that they don't know how to act when they win or go on a run.
Every 8-0 run is like a championship celebration with them.
I'm no fan of Jason Terry. I think that sums it up. I'm grateful to Mark Cuban for criticizing the quality of the San Antonio River water and however indirectly getting the authorities to clean it up...at least I think they did. So to me its pretty much Jason Terry who annoys me.

Top 3 things I hate about the Mavs:

Well, I like a lot about the Mavericks in the way they play and some of their team. Dirk Nowitzki is a unique unique baller. Brilliant shooter and offensive player who is outrageously good for his 7 foot frame. Jason Kidd has X ray vision on the court and never ceases to amaze with his floor running abilities. And I have great hopes of the Roddy B kid - he seems to be a smooth offensive player.
But thats about it. I hate Jason Terry - one dimensional player. And Mark Cuban takes his super-fan owner shtick too far.
Plus this is a team that does not believe in any philosophy or values; they keep retuning their team just because they have Cuban's wallet to help do that. I mean, even the Lakers for all you might want to say bad about them have the Triangle Offense and a certain way and uniqueness to how they play and can be identified. Or Boston with their in your face defense and never say die team spirit. And my beloved Spurs have this terrific value system in place that pervades their style of play, their organisational cohesiveness and that has fuelled their win - understatedness and constant improvement through sheer hard work [insert Stone cutter credo allegory].
The Mavs, meh. All they have is Dirk's abilities and Cuban's cash. They can't buy a championship that way, no sir. And thats why I have never been sympathetic of this team.
