Really, if the Spurs killed Kobe and Garnett, how do you top that?
Perchance to dream.
Finally repeat in 2012??? :hat

Spurs are good enough to hang..I mean sure the Lakers are playing pretty shitty right now..and perhaps the playoffs will be different..but every team has a chance..Spurs this season aren't the same team from last. Lakers vs Spurs in the playoffs would be pretty awesome.:toast

+1! And to top it off, how about Duncan accidently elbowing KG in the mouth on his way to throwing one down on him in a game 7 blowout win for the Spurs?

God you're dumb. You do realize the Spurs beat the Mavericks in the series prior?

This isn't a troll thread since I still think the Spurs can win it all, but the only way I can see it happening is in this format.
Spurs get the 1, Dal/LA gets the 2/3, then Dallas knocks off LA, Spurs knock off Dal, Spurs play a hell of a series against Boston or Miami
Feel free to disagree, but I think that's SA's only shot
the spurts arent winning squat!
Re: In order for SA to win a title this year....
The Spurs can beat ANY team in a 7 game playoff series. They are playing as an unselfish unit. Any given player can pop off for double digit scoring at any given time.
Defensively that makes things extremely hard for opposing coaches to zero in on somebody and defend aganist them....now if only they upped their defense I'd almost guarantee they'd beat the Lakers.
Re: In order for SA to win a title this year....
We have a shot at the lakers if we face them at the play offs but its only slim chances I'll gow with mavs vs lakers im sure thats a hell of a match up and then if we get lucky we face the mavs

Gasol - Tim Duncan, Antonio McDyess...'nuff said. Each of them can shut any one of them down, except for perhaps the super-quick Odom.
Bynum - If LA uses their big lineup we should most definitely use McDyess and Tim on the court at the same time. In addition we'll most likely have to give Tiago 10-15 minutes to defend that position. Blair shouldn't see the court at all except in garbage time if there's any garbage time at all.
I don't know if anybody remembered, but the last time we faced the Lakers, maybe March of 2010, POP used RJ on Odom it surprisingly, it was very effective.
RJ has the size and quickness to negate some of Odom's advantages. RJ is actually a pretty big SF himself. Both Odom and RJ have the same weight at 230 BTW.
That was the stretch of games when Manu simply turned into super Manu. If I remember it correctly, we beat the Lakers in their home turf in that game.
