Re: Quick Grades: Spurs vs. Nuggets - Dec. 22
Solid grades although I think Parker deserved a D- for going for the highlight reel steal stuff than being fundamentally sound.
If Parker does that against Arenas or Jameer tonight...its going to be a long game.

Due to his injuries I don't see Anderson being apart of the prime playoff rotation this year. Nothing against him but when he went down it allowed other players a chance to show what they can do and they have been very impressive.
There is still a little bit of time this season of course but I just don't see where he can fit right now.
Shoot, Gary Neal is giving even Hill a run for his minutes.
Quinn's minutes will go away as well and Hill will take those back over.
But yea, we're going to be tight out on the wing.

People who pointed this out make it sound like it was 100% Parker's decision, which I find hard to believe -- or Pop is definitely not any more the coach he was 3 years ago.

Anderson's going to get small forward minutes that Manu is currently taking plus Ime minutes. Pop's also going to be forced at some point to just ride the hot hand on a given night between Bonner, Neal and Anderson.

Enough of the undersized two guard glutton trend, let's get some size to plug on the wing or to make up for Bonner's uselessness when he gets more than 15 minutes a game.
The "Trade Hill!" chants have begun already in earnest. As expected.

This. Manu is being forced to play SF minutes right now. When Anderson comes back Manu will go back to playing mostly SG minutes while Hill and Neal interchange between backup point and backup SG.
Minutes aren't the worry as much as how fast can Anderson get his foot completely well, get back into game shape and get re-acclimated to his teammates.

This.
Jordan always used to say: "It's not how you start the game, it's how you finish."
