The Suns went to a zone and a sagging D in the 4th and conceded the mid-range shots. The Spurs missed a lot of their jumpers and Timmy didn't go right away with his move on the block, so they bogged down some. They doubled Tim hard and Marion and Hunter defended him pretty well.
The Suns should zone more in game 4.
Your a fuckin hater, your a fuckin idiot Solid, STFU WE JUST WON!!!! (homers)
Your right, If D Antoni is a smart coach, wich I think he is, hell Zone probobly 100% of the time monday and this will be a closer than normal game.
Shouldve killed their spirt and their heart and kept attacking.
If you beat this team by 25 20 tonight, game 4 aint even close to being a worry.

Re: Way too close at the end
Push Amare out? I doubt that anybody can do that with any level of consistency.

Even after tonight, game 4 still isn't even close to being a worry.
Spurs are up 3-0, WTF is their to worry about.
After seeing how they are playin this series, do you think PHX is really gonna win the next 4 games???

Zone will play right into Tony's and Manu's hands. they will carve them up with penetration. Brent, Bruce, and Horry should have lots of open looks.

The SUns playing that same defense, and beating the Spurs in game 4 and getting momentum going home.
No nothing to worry bout there.... :rolleyes

I'm a HUGE yankees fan, and no disrepect to the spurs, but if the Yankees can lose 4 str8 any team can.

Tony went immediately to trying to penetrate the zone but he missed a few inside and when he kicked it out, the Spurs missed their shots.

I'm not sure why you think that - the Spurs, especially Tony, have struggled when teams have thrown zones at them all year.
I'm not particularly worried, but if you think that the Spurs are magically going to turn one of their greatest weaknesses into a strength, I think you need to go back and watch some more game tape.
The Spurs will win the series soon, but they will continue to struggle against zones.

Thats exactly right.
It only takes 1 loss, 1 loss to get the SUns momentum, get Joe Johnson better legs, get everyone going.
They need to come out monday and stomp the fuck on their throughts.
BLOW THEM OUT EARLY AND BLOW THEM OUT OFTEN!!!!!!
KILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're going to argue the point until you're blue in the face, so I'll agree to disagree.

Re: Way too close at the end
I don't need a subpar 4th quarter against Phoenix to tell me the Spurs will need to be consistent in their offense against a team like Detroit or Miami. That's a given. But I'm certainly not worried about how that quarter affects the rest of this series.
I'm glad the Spurs were tested with some different looks defensively. I HOPE this makes Phoenix come out with a lot of defensive intensity in Game 4. We need the warmup for the Finals.

Nope, nothing.
The Spurs have consistently won 3 straight games over PHX...we match up well against them.
Why are you bringing all this negativity bullfuck to the forums when we just won? If I checked in his thread without knowing the final score i would have thought that we lost.
Get over it already and stop being a drama queen. You KNOW that we are gonna win this series, 1 way or the other. So STFU .

Re: Way too close at the end
Amare got going in the 4th, 14 pts or something. Spurs admit they can't stop him, no big deal. He got under his avg against us tonight.
I'm sure the Spurs will play Mon night as if they really don't want to back to PHX until next season.

Re: Way too close at the end
It will be.
This is the first time in these Playoffs that you can rest easy in the days leading up to the next game. I, for one, will enjoy the break from stress.

Re: Way too close at the end
T Park brings more drama than Karl Malone.
He kept up his BS about "oh no, Im so fucking worried, were gonna lose this series" for 3 pages of a thread...incredible.

Ive brought no BS, Ive brought legitimate concerns.
If you cant handle the truth, take your bottle go in the corner and rock yourself to sleep with your little Ginobili Doll.
Im looking at the game objectively, and I saw a piss poor effort in the 4th to give a dead team life, and a dead team momentum going into game 4.
-
Re: Way too close at the end
the Spurs let the game slip a bit in the fourth. However, they always looked like they were the ones in control and that they weren't going to make the game get away or fall apart.

Looks like ur the one that can't handle the truth, otherwise you wouldn't be doin this crap.

it's good to worry, and from what I've heard so are the spurs. What makes Phoenix so scarey is they are very consistent. If they want to go an slug it out on D with the spurs, good luck to them. Their best hope is to run and gun and maybe outscore SA.
