hmm...here's a TRUE fact for ya...Spurs lead the series, 3 games to none. How's that sound?
Looks like ur the one that can't handle the truth, otherwise you wouldn't be doin this crap.
Good for them.
But they way they finished game 3 is cause for concern.
Just because you want to be a blind ass homer, doesnt make my points wrong, or me being a "drama queen"

Uh yeah they are.
But its the same concept of counting your eggs before they are hatched.
The Yankees did it last year, I hope the Spurs dont do it this year....

Re: Way too close at the end
Nash with 3 Assists and 6 Turnovers (0.5 A/TO ratio). Spread the floor and let Nash do his thing isn't enough against the Spurs.
-
Re: Way too close at the end
The Spurs have always had problems in the fourth, and it won't ever change as long as Pop is coach and running a structured offense like he does.
Tonight in the fourth when we couldn't hit jack against the Phoenix zone would have been a great time to see Big Dog.

Re: Way too close at the end
Besides 3 straight wins, does anyone notice a trend in this (?):
SAS 121 PHX 114
SAS 111 PHX 108
SAS 102 PHX 92
(Hint: Plot on x/y axis and graph it.)

Re: Way too close at the end
The score keeps going down????
down 10 then down 9 for the Spurs
down 6 then down 16 for the Suns.
Is that it??

Man... Yakeee equal a MLB team.
Not an NBA team.
Jesus, if you'r stop, pull that pie out your mouth, and focus, you'd know that.

Re: Way too close at the end
It was never desperate enough that we needed to bring a Robinson or Brown off the bench. Against Detroit or Miami, maybe, but patience worked in the Spurs' favor this time.

wtf are you talking about.
I know they are not an NBA team.
But they were in the same position NUMBNUTS
up 3-0 in a conference championship series, and everyone counted out the Red Sox.
Im not saying the Spurs will lose monday.
Just that saying this is gauranteed over, who will we play in the Finals, blah blah blah is wayyy too premature.

if we get desperate to the point of needin Devin Brown we are done.
Glenn Robinson wouldve had a tough time playing seeing as they said he wasnt there.

I'm speaking hypothetically.

Yes, T Park - the overall ppg is going down each game. The Spurs are imposing their will and dictating tempo.

They also have the best winning percentage of any team in any professional sport during those same years. (I'm not conceding that they have "always" had problems in the fourth - just letting it go for now.) Get it? The best winning percentage of ANY team in ANY professional sport. And you're going to sit at your keyboard and slam the way he runs the team? Great idea.
You're right... the Spurs structured offense sucks. The team will never have any success playing this way. They should fire Pop and bring in someone more qualified. Maybe they should have the candidates walk on water as part of the interview process?

Considering what the Spurs have been doing in the fourth quarter this series, this might be a top ten worst post ever.
-
Re: Way too close at the end
The Spurs did have a few more empty trips (ET) in the 4th than they did the first 2 games. I guess after averaging 5 or 6 4th qtr. ETs in the first 2 games, tonight indicates a death spiral. :lol

I agree with that.
But, the 4th tonight was a little annoying.
-
Re: Way too close at the end
Uh the Spurs have managed to outscore the league's top offense in an open court game three times in this series. That horrible structured offense that Pop runs has managed to execute damn near flawlessly in the 4th quarters of two road games but no, Pop is horrible and needs to go.
Fuck, how many years does D'Antoni have left on his deal?
