I love all wins
Not really, but I'll fucking take it after back to back losses if fluke win allows the Spurs to avoid nearly doubling their previous loss record in a week.
Sigh.
in before the lock.
I love wins where the Spurs play great D in the fourth quarter tbh.
Tim is still a fucking dumbass for getting that T though.
it's because i turned league pass off at about the 1:40 mark that we won. it happens every time. i think i'm starting to bring bad luck to the team.
Facing a losing streak. I don't care.
But hopefully it motivates the Spurs and not make them feel safe again.
this is the least satisfying win the entire season.
I am glad they hung in and came back from the 3rd qtr deficit. Only followed boxscore, didn't watch though.
We needed this win Ive been tagging Laker, Heat and Hornet fans for losing to the Pacers I didn't wanna have to face the music lol

Super Fluke!
I love wins period.
No. Is this just an indictment of Pop's quitting?
me me mee!
oh. . .
also sign me up if we are to have the " fluke best league record" thread. :toast

You'll be sleeping on the couch soon with threads like these.
I love it when the other team makes 1 FG in the 4th quarter. :smokin
I dont, makes my ass itch. Shoot the ball Tim.
If not for Salvatore, this is a 10 point win tbh
A road win on the 3rd game in 4 nights? I'll take it. Tyler had a fluke night imo and Pacers were lucky to have an under the weather Tony Parker tonight, he was almost like an empty jersey at times.
Hibbert panicked in that final sequence. But whatever. We'll take it.
Spurs are lucky that their opponent played even stupider than they did down the stretch!
Timvp we need your take on Timmy's offensive game.
Or lack of (dare I say).
W is a W but I hope after see another pathetic effort from Blair/Bonner combo Pop never play them together again
I'm glad Pop didn't feel like making a point. :lol
30-6
Backdoor sweep, maggots.
Just glad they finally got a win this week.
This is the one thing with the Spurs that worries me, Manu and Tim will be fine come playoff time (Knock on wood for health) but these two are just awful together. Harlem said in the game thread that they should be packaged for a decent defensive big and I agree.
Win is a win....spurs the first team to reach 30 lol
I don't care if the only reason the Spurs won was because the entire opposing team had a wild breakout of flaming hemorrhoids, as long as the Spurs aren't scrambling just for a freaking 7th seed at the end of the season. :downspin:
and the misleading record continues
How spoiled have we gotten that a 2 game losing streak to really good teams on the road causes us to sell the farm?
Well Bonners stock must be pretty high (for Bonner standards) as he's leading the league in 3p% at .500, and Blair can be a rebounding machine on his game. Not saying we could get anything great with them..Blair + Bonner for Darko works but I think the wolves are too high on him..Deandre Jordan for Blair straight up works (Yeah, i'm going there).
This game put me in a sour mood... despite the win. The Pacers shouldn't even be hanging with us, let alone having a 15 pt lead. Thank God our D came to life in the 4th. That's the only other positive besides the W.
Black you're better than that, only one cricketer you should be displaying

This wasn't a fluke, Indiana is just bad on offense.
If Manu had made the game-winning 3 against Boston, that would've been a fluke. The win over the Rockets was a fluke. The win at Minnesota was a fluke.
The Pacers had like 5 days of rest or something IIRC and the Spurs were tired from playing multiple games in a short amount of time, so it's not that surprising that the game was close, but the way the Spurs played obviously became annoying after a while..
All that matters is the W..everybody knows the Spurs aren't as good as their record right now, and might not be a legit contender(IMO they aren't)..they still need a lot of work, but more important than anything, the #1 seed is the main focus right now..
Win!
I see it a little different. I think the Spurs were a bit bored this game. They definitely got their ass whiped by NY. and the the Boston game was very even and very close, nothing to take from there. And this game, the spurs were just bored and probably tired of the road trip.
But in the 4th quarter they started to give a shit and whop that ass. At least that shows that they are not a tired team or a hurt team.
lol rockets
Spurs now needing fluke wins to beat the damn Pacers, I hope Pop and RC are taking notice
For those saying this wasn't a fluke win, I'm not exactly sure what you're smoking. The Pacers were 1-for-15 in the fourth quarter. Good defense can claim some of that credit but it's definitely a fluke for a team to shoot 6% in a quarter.
:lol @ not a fluke.Quote:
Indiana's one field goal in the fourth quarter was the fewest the Pacers have made in a quarter in at least 19 years.
And seriously, I'll take the win. I really don't care how a win comes. But there's no harm in pointing out wins that required a bit of luck.
spurs did not play [email protected]
just shows you this team goes as far as tp takes them

...“It’s never just great defense,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “They missed some shots also. Sometimes you don’t make shots. That was part of it. I thought our intensity level, our physicality, got better. I thought we had a good mix on the court that reacted well.”
...“We lost the other night in Boston at the end of the third quarter and the end of the fourth quarter when we didn’t close,” Popovich said. “We turned it over, we imploded defensively, didn’t execute on offense.”
..."They just kept playing the game,” Popovich said of his Spurs. “That’s a great sign. We’ve done that several times this year. That’s what a team really needs to sustain in this league. We’re fortunate to get that win tonight.”
I love Ws
Pop you weren't fortunate. It was totally the defensive effort that held the Pacers to a 20 year low in field goals made in a quarter :madrunQuote:

Although I share the feeling at times, I try to temper it with the understanding that it's almost mid-season and almost all teams throughout history had had rough patches.
That said, last year were were looking at a bleak 2010-2011 season. Who knew we would be atop the league and bitching about close wins? I'll take that over the seemingly customary one of the big 3 playing while the other two recover.
No, we have it really really good. We may not win it all, but damn it I am enjoying this season so far.
lol pop said spurs imploded
feels more of a pacers loss than spurs win
30-6. Suck it haters.
Well heres the thing, a win is a win so you don't complain. However, one of the difference between championship teams and folders teams is level of satisfaction. There is always room for improvement and teams that get satisfied too easily will never go very far. Guys like Pop and Sloan are so successful because even in victory, they find ways to improve their team. Therefore, while we should be happy with the win, by no means should your mentality be "Winning is all that matters."
Just watched the LP replay. Flukey is as flukey ddoes.
Hokey smokes did Duncan play like a dumbass down the stretch.
Sorry, 228.
if the spurs have their lull, i rather they have it now until the all star break. if they are peaking now, i would actually be worried.
I guess the Spurs D is back to A OK?
I love fluke threads... who else??
Damn, that 4th quarter boxscore is just redonkulous in its ineptitude for the Pacers.
Pts: 12
FG%: 7 (1-15!)
3P%: 0 (0-5)
Reb: 6 (2 offensive!)
Ast: 0
TO: 5
:rollin
I can't wait till Pop and Lj have a battle of the wallets in Chris Ruths steakhouse over a few empty fine wine bottles and Kori pulling LJ off of from choking Pop. Dreams... dreams...
I try to be thankful for Ws regardless of how they get them but I have to vent:
Why did Pop put that small ball line up with Blair as the center? Or was Bonner out there too but I just didn't notice?
What's with that lineup with none of the big 3 out there? Where's the play maker? All they can get is Hill trying to drive to the basket and since he can't pass, Pacer's D can focus on him.
Play Neal more especially when RJ is doing nothing. He needs as many minutes as possible to get ready for the playoffs.
What's with Hill and his confidence in his 3 pter? He passed up a few wide open 3pters.
A win is a win.
Congrats on the comeback, really thought Indiana had it
wake up. It's the indiana pacers :rolleyes
they were bound to choke in the 4th quarter. It had happened twice before vs. Spurs this season already.
Hibbert + Hasbro are good but young and choked. Also Granger was in foul trouble all throuout the 4th.
All wins require a bit of luck, don't mean it was a fluke win.
Fuck it...a win is a win. :toast
