I think I'm doing something more special than you. That's good enough for me.

I don't think of myself as "above" anyone for not accepting WIC. I just realize that other people have more of a need than I do, and would rather the money goes to those more needy.

I agree with Manny, you should take the money. You are in fact underpaid for your service and although you may not need the money your kids will when they want to go to college. Take the money and put it away for your kids future.

Congrats on the upcoming baby. If your wife isn't going to breastfeed, baby formula is dang expensive these days -- you might consider taking the WIC ;)

She breastfed the first for six months or so; I'm guessing it will be the same.

And trust me, I know how expensive baby formula is... my first kid is only 14 months :D
