Figure at least $5/day, probably closer to $10/day for a dog that size, for food for 365 days, plus vet/drug expenses.

No, male mastiffs can get that big. A friend of mine had one that weighed 285. The first time I saw him I pulled up in my friends yard (he lives out in the country) and the dog came over and put his front paws on my drivers window sill (on a tall 4X4 truck) and looked down into my truck. He was taller than the truck and actually had to lean down. His head filled the window. He just stayed there and drooled/slimed my window until Martin came out and told him I was OK.Quote:

I have nothing against dogs, at all. It's just that the benefits of dog or cat owning I get elsewhere, without the expense and hassle.
