I can watch McDyess interviews all day. He's so classy and "real".
Great interviews!
Yeah Antonio McDyess is special to this team. Now I know what detroit fans were saying about him when he decided to come to san antonio. Nice man.
Manu also inteviews as respectful and authentic, doesn't resort to the generic sports cliches.
I'm gonna miss Dice. Wish the Spurs could've gotten him years ago.
thanx
Win a ring for Mcdyess
Dice deserves a ring SO BAD
Dice-what a super guy. Class act all the way. He deserves a ring.
horry, finley, and now dyess...stacking the spurs to grab that last ring before retirement :toast
seriously. win one for dice. it'd be like winning one for finley times ten.
winning one for findog when dallas couldn't was very satisfying.
dice is cool as hell wish him the best
I'm glad he mentioned tweaking his knee in the game Monday. He didn't look like himself in the first half-I thought maybe he'd rolled his ankle.
God, please let the Spurs win this year.
I always like Dice. I hope he knows how much he is loved by the Spurs' fans here.
48MoH with some Dice love.

On the prospect of trading Antonio McDyess
by Timothy Varner
48 Minutes of Hell
Antonio McDyess is the chillest chill bro in the Association.
He’s Serge Gainsbourg, stubbled, disheveled, and in love. McDyess is the serpentine rise of smoke from Tom Waits’ cigarette. He’s Chet Baker’s My Funny Valentine—the especially long version that forgets you’re listening. Antonio McDyess is all these things and a Quitman smile.
Antonio McDyess is my favorite Spur. And he’s playing great basketball this season. For most of the season Dice has been San Antonio’s best interior defender.
Coming into the season, I gave Dice even odds to be gone by mid-February.
The Spurs have precious few trade assets. And, at the time, it didn’t seem like the Spurs were talented enough to compete with the Lakers. Antonio McDyess is a nice trade chip. With a salary of 4.8 million this season and only a partial guarantee next year, he comes cheap. There isn’t a team in the NBA that wouldn’t benefit from his presence, on and off the court. The Spurs, I thought, might upgrade their reserve forward with a younger model. They’d want to think about the future.
Now it’s impossible to think of the Spurs without Dice. He’s placed his germ in the Spurs’ collective blood stream. His presence in the locker room makes him indispensable. The Spurs will absolutely need him in April and May. He’s a game-changer.
But beyond all this, he’s just so damn likable.
I wanna have Dice's babies
Pop went totally CIA in response to the first question. Everybody knows we're better b/c we got more shooters, developed RJ into a shooter, and went away from 4 down..
man did you see how broad George's shoulders are with respect to the whole camera frame? Its like he was built for defense.
the Spurs have to give Dice the game ball from the Finals victory game. :tu
After we cost Dice is best chance for his ring, its only fitting that we take him to one at the end.
This season just has that feeling to it...
Dice has only been here for a season and a half now but he's one of my favorite Spurs of all time. Right up there with Bruce and Rob. Sometimes it feels like he's been here ever since the championship years.
Win him one
Damn. I love me some Dice.
As proud and happy as I was to see the reaction from Finley, when the Spurs won the title back in '07, I'd be twice as ecstastic if they won it this year for Dice.
The Dice-man cometh!

‘Old Man Dice’ rethinking retirement plan
Jeff McDonald
For Antonio McDyess, this was supposed to be the last hurrah, the grand finale, the cherry on top.
Even before he signed with the Spurs two summers ago, McDyess had made up his mind that his 15th NBA season would be his last.
The first 41 games of McDyess’ supposed farewell season have served to lob an awfully big monkeywrench into those plans. At 36, the Spurs’ eldest statesman has been playing so well, and feeling so spry, he has lately begun to reconsider retirement.
“If I could play here another year,” McDyess said, “I would definitely contemplate it.”
For McDyess, “here” is the operative word. He has so enjoyed his season-and-a-half in San Antonio, he might be willing to put off the rocking chair for a third.
For the record, McDyess says he’s still leaning toward retirement but is leaving the door to a 16th season slightly ajar.
“I’m not going to say never,” McDyess said.

hah looks like dyess is here for another season
