Anyone notice a trend in these photos?

Re: Anyone notice a trend in these photos?
Not to burst your bubble Darrin, but individual (cherry picked) class photo's of a university that has 200,000 students, isn't very proper.
Can we stick to better data?

Re: Anyone notice a trend in these photos?
Looks like more women are getting a college education in Egypt these days.
Great news! Thanks for posting.

Re: Anyone notice a trend in these photos?
Would the first photo be considered porn in 2011 Cairo?
I see a few pairs of ankles and at least one knee.

I would say if we went by just those photos, we could conclude that their religious influence changed over the years as well as them developing better equality.
Remember Darrin, I am not as partisan as people think. I prefer things to be portrayed in a more honest manner. In this case, my assumption is that you are attempting to show the spread of Muslim influence. That may or may not be true. A photo of 50 or so students is well under 1% of the student body. 1% of the student body would be about 2,000 students.
As I understand the facts, the Muslim influence is in fact the cause of the current crisis. Hidden as less radical causes. However, attempts to show that which are inaccurate do damage to the truth rather than show it.

Re: Anyone notice a trend in these photos?
Decades of repression, official corruption and US assistance seems to have done wonders for the legitimacy of political Islam in Egypt. Go figure.

I just knew WE were, in some way, responsible.

Re: Anyone notice a trend in these photos?
Darrin, where are the other roughly 50,000 graduates from 2004?
Let us know what they were all wearing, since this is so important to you.

There's lots of moving parts, but yeah, we supported Mubarak and before him Sadat. I suppose that had nothing to do with it.
I know complexity isn't really your thing, but there's a lot of ground between "oooga-booga" and "it's all our fault." You should investigate the middle you almost invariably exclude, between the kneejerk extremes.

Re: Anyone notice a trend in these photos?
Darrin says Laura Bush is a Islamist terrorist:

Darrin says be ignorant and afraid because he is ignorant and afraid.

If I had a picture of 50,000 people, you wouldn't be able to discern what they are wearing. But, you're smart, so I know you already knew this.

I'm sorry that you think my posting four photos was a kneejerk extreme.

No one, idiot.

Do you disagree that Egypt has become more "Ismamified" in the last 50 years?
Your insults are lame, btw.

Assuming it has been, do you have a further point to make?

I notice a trend that Darrin pulls threads and articles and statements out of his ass and runs away when asked to explain himself.

Swing and a miss. It was your moronically simpleminded inference.

Re: Anyone notice a trend in these photos?
Are women forced to wear the veil in Egypt? It appears there are plenty of women in that 2004 photo without a veil.
I wonder if they were forced to wear skirts in 1959.
