American TV is so fucking worthless. If you go to the UK you have BBC2, BBC4, and Channel 4 who do amazing scientific and political programming (especially BBC Horizon) while Discovery and The Learning Channel have devolved into shows about blowing shit up, reality garbage about dwarves and rednecks with 30 kids, political ads for that idiot Palin, and all sorts of other brainless crap. Meanwhile CPB constantly being on the chopping block means we don't get that level of original programming here. Even Nova, by far the best program on American TV, is usually just edited BBC Horizon episodes now.Quote:
