Re: Why is secession a bad idea?
rather than once again just taking clear party lines once more for the most part, lets just entertain the idea.
most of the discussion is not centered around trade but the full faith and credit clause would obviously no longer apply. we would be subject to american tariffs and more than likely we would do the same.
that would be the most important caveat in this idea and i have no idea what that would entail nor really how to begin a discussion on it.
its why it owuld more than likely cause civil war.
as long as we had a peace treaty with american defense of texas would not be a huge consideration from the global perspective for the same reason canada does not have to worry about it overly much.
'narcoterror' was funny though.
i am to the point where i believe that the political system which all too many just eat up. something drastic needs ot be done and although a civil war and all the deaths that would result from something like this prohibit my support of this I can certainly understand where the want of something like this comes from.
pigeonholing of texans as tumbleweed having mindless idiots notwithstanding.

"peace treaty with american defense of texas"
... USA should move all US military bases (and civilian support) out of TX, and send TX an annual bill for assuring TX defense, including MX border defense.
And move NASA out, too, if the Repugs don't kill NASA completely.

This just goes to show how fucking idiotic your takes are.
I do not like most of the GOP policies over the last 40 years but one thing they have done is support big science.
You look at big projects like the particle collider that was to be built in Waxahachie and if you knew a damn thing beyond what you read in the Huffington Post, you would know that it was Reagan that was behind it. It was Clinton who killed. Obama likes to talk about infrastructure but it was Ike who built it.
Most of all large scale engineering projects of the last 60 years have been organized by the GOP. Democrats like to point to NASA and crow about Kennedy but it was during the Nixon administration that it grew to the size that it eventually did.
The problem is that most of the projects that NASA has been working on are shit and their maintenance of existing projects has been shit. they needed to be scuttled. if they want more funding then they need to propose something that is not shit.
They have not done that for all the talk of maglev and scramjets. They have been working on that for 40 years now with no tangible results.
You mindlessly like to write blank checks no matter what. Perhaps you should know something about it before you go spouting off.
NASA has been mismanaged since Apollo was canceled. they need a wakeup call. Not a blank check.

none of this goes against the trends of the last 50+ years or your blathering on NASA. you do not even evaluate based on merits, you just mindlessly go dems: good, GOP: bad.
You are a minion just like so many others.
