He said Manu is not 100%, but should play.
He said Manu is always hurt because of his style of play, so it is nothing new. :)
He said Manu is so competitive that he is better in the 4th Q when the game in on the line, and that he is just so special.
He said that he was surprised that Jackson went back to LA. He sees no problem with him and Kobe being together though.
tape delay

But seriously, I hope Mrs. C is okay. Can't help thinking as a woman who's gone through PPD, I hope he didn't leave her alone! I understand his needing to leave town, but I hope her mom or someone came and stayed with her because I could not handle being left alone with the baby after I had him.
i dont see why duncan would skip a finals game for the birth of his daughter, unless his wife is sick or has complications, i know he'd want to be there, but i dont think he'd want to let the team down and hopefully his wife would understand
God, I hope you never have kids. And if you do, hopefully they'll never find out that they're not as important as basketball.Quote:

ok your almightness
im being honest
1. the chance of her going into labor the night of a game is slim to none
2. duncan owes it to his teamates, most of whom are like family and a city of a million+
Duncan owes his wife, who is giving him a child. Like family and family are not the same.
And if she is due any time now, the odds are actually pretty good.
By saying this...you are wanting Tim to choose his team over his family.Quote:

he's not choosing anything, i wouldnt be mad if he missed the game, id understand but i would EXPECT him to play
his wife hopefully would understand and in the future he'll tell his daughter he was working, winning a fucking championship
He is choosing to be with his wife and child. You would expect him to choose a game over that?
Mookie your a complete moron.
If his child was being born, dont know what this has to do with PJ,
If he missed the game, I wouldn't think anything of it.
I wouldn't EXPECT him to be there.
He doesnt owe anything to THIS City, nor the team.
Family > Basketball
That simple.
Is Mookie the same moron that ripped up Glenn Robinson for not being at game 4 because his mother died???
"Sorry I wasn't there when you were born, sweetie, but Daddy was playing basketball."Quote:

a game no, game 4 of the finals, yes, which he's not guaranteed to ever play in again
i expect duncan to make the decision to rather watch his daughter be born later on tape than to leave a his TEAM hanging and all the fans hanging im not being an asshole i understand family, but how great would it be to fly back later that night after winning a game or possibly the championship and then see your daughter, talk about the greatest day of your life
daddy was working bringing joy to millions and making a fatassfucking pay check so that you and your grandchildren never haver to work a day in their lives
You obviously don't understand family at all.
dude...if you expect Tim Duncan to miss the birth of his first child for a basketball game...even the finals....you do not understand family. What you are saying is that an NBA Finals game is more important than the birth of your first child.
This guy should be banned just for this.
I'm down with Mookie on this one.
If there are medical complications, that's one thing; otherwise, the show must go on.
no glenn robinson could do what he wants, that was a death too, not a birth
ok yall are right im an orphan and ive been alone all my life
im sure some people see where i'm coming from
do any of yall remember your dad being at your birth?
he does owe this city and he does owe the team, i wouldnt scoff the guy if he missed the game, shit sorry he only gets $120,000,000 compensation
i EXPECT duncan to play and fly home after the game, god does he have to be there to catch the baby?
so then you also believe a game is more important than the birth of one's child.Quote:

Having family is not the same as appreciating them.
Why is there a debate over something that hasn't happened or may not happen at all? As far as Tim's baby goes, why not cross that bridge when we get to it? As for PJ, hopefully it's nothing too serious and that she will recover soon.
