I'm sure they've discussed all this already. And whatever they've decided, I'm cool with it.
Honestly, my husband being there (which he was) was the least of my worries. I didn't want him comforting me, I wanted a fricking epidural. STAT!

I really don't think the residents of SA would think badly of him. I am one and I wouldn't.Quote:

Definitely some bad family planning. :lol

Y'all crack me up. I'll bet a few of you have devoted more emotional thought to the "should he stay or should he go" of Tim Duncan's personal life than you have to all the pregnant wives whose husbands are getting shot at in Iraq.Quote:

If Tim is able to bring it through these finals, knowing what the impending birth of a child means - and then the exhausting aftermath, then I will be suprised. He is bound to be distracted and torn right now - forget about the labor; he's talking to his wife, she feels like crap (it's summer in SA - and she's probably + 40 - 50 lbs - and it HIS fault!), he wants to be there for her, and because of this 2-3-2 BS he's away for an entire week!
Major, major, major distraction. And don't talk to me about professionalism, or focussing on the job at hand - this is his family, his love, his first born we are talking about - hell, most of us are so obsessed with the Spurs right now we aren't doing OUR jobs - we're doing this!
in my case...you would be wrong.Quote:

Ditto
PEOPLE SIGN UP TO JOIN THE MILITARY THEY SHOULD HAVE thought about that when they did it. They might be over seas when if they got their wives or girlfriends pregnat. Everyone knows what makes kidds....
Damn those NBA players for having sex 9 months prior to the finals.

its just obviously very important to many people and duncan knows that. he also knows that he can fly home after the game and be here in a few hours at his wifes side
we'll see, youd think i was talking about roe vs wade or something, dam
$.02 - If it were, say, Ben or CBill facing the same decision, I'd expect them to put family ahead of the game, ahead of the team, and way ahead of my own petty wants as a fan.
That said, if TD actually has to make that choice, I'd like to see the game postponed (yah, like the NBA would let that happen :rolleyes ) ; if the Pistons are going to repeat, I'd want it to be against a full-strength Spurs team, and if they're not capable of taking the series with Duncan on the floor, then they shouldn't.
And health, healing and best wishes to Mrs. C.
Oh, and GO PISTONS!
NO WHAT MAKES BABIES :lolQuote:

I didn't hear anything else about Mrs. Carlesimo. And she's not that old (someone said in regards to PJ being 57 that she must be old).Quote:

of course its ok
i just thought tim would choose to play
Well maybe when you are married and having the birth of your first child you will think differently. It's just a personal decision, nothing for anyone to judge.Quote:
