Why don't gay people support polygamy?

I watched a video of Santorum asking a hippie why can't 3 people get married and the bitch wouldn't answer. I think Santorum is an idiot but he did have a valid point. Gay people claim that they are open minded and tolerant. They also demand that every person must be tolerant and open minded about their lifestyles yet they don't necessarily preach tolerance and being open minded about polygamy. Isn't that hypocritical?
If a dude wants to bang a dude and get married, then do it and shut it up.
If Bill Paxton wants to marry Ginnifer Goodwin, Chloe Sevigny, and Jeanne Tripplehorn, then shouldn't they be allowed to do it?

Gay people want to be treated equally and want their way yet they don't want the same for others. I find that highly intolerant and hypocritical on their part.

It's a simple question. I just don't get why gay people and gayness enthusiasts refuse to answer it. I don't care if two dudes want to screw each other and get married. It doesn't bug me at all. The people of this country believe in and desire a country that fosters a culture of life - and the democratically elected goverment has a moral obligation to the citizens to protect life and the institution of marriage. It's pretty simple tbqh.
