What are we doing?
Every other team is making moves left and right and the Spurs are just sitting on their hands.

Re: General 2012 Free Agency Discussion
Blatche got amnestied, or about to get amnestied, not sure if official. Wander who's going to sign that headcase. After gradually improving year by year culminating in very good 2011 campaign averaging 17 and 8, he kinda fell off a cliff in 2012 though. Given the right team and right mentor he could be a nice piece for someone.

Getting the key players of a team that won 20 in a row even with two guys added midseason?

Re: General 2012 Free Agency Discussion
Speaking of the Lakers, I caught one of their summer league games and liked what I saw from a Frech-Canadian center out of Gonzaga they had (i forget the name). Nice outside shot, long, NBA body.
Whats the deal with Jordan Hill. Wasn't he linked to criminal issues? I wonder if this is what is preventing him from getting more attention from other teams. You have to think he'd get more than the vet minimum.

Robert Sacre, a name that you'll hear for years on ST if he makes it with Lakers. He was the guy selected with the 60th pick after the Spurs took Denmon at 59.
Hill has been linked to Minnesota. They're waiting to see if Portland matches on Batum and opens up cap space.

Jordon Hill reportedly choked one of his family members or girlfriend and is facing felony assault charges in Houston. Not sure whats going on with that now but the story broke back at the end of April so not sure he has gone to court yet.

No problem, reason why I posted in the "general" FA thread and not creating an entirely new one...

And why isn't the trade thread either sticky or merged with this one?

I unstick it while the Game Blog is up so that there isn't an overload of stickies ... but I'll restick it after the game.

It seems to work well as a separate non-sticky thread. Not quite active enough for a sticky, IMO. But maybe others agree with you . . .

Same time. He becomes a free agent when the league notifies the teams that he has gone unclaimed.
