Damn didn't know you could tell future... Who am I going to marry? :o
Jinx thread made well in advance :tu
Wouldn't surprise me. Hope the Clips can close them out in 6 because this game tonight is over and the Clips won't win game 7 in MEM.
Memphis is going to win the series. They have rediscovered what has made them a scary team.
Yeah the bigs are dominating. I don't care, I still want to see the Spurs whip them.
Duncan is much healthier this time around if we play Memphis. Also we will have Splitter and Diaw ready from the outset. Not to mention Manu is minus the broken elbow and we are still pissed about last year.
The sad part about this game tonight is it started at 9:30, and second half starts 11:15? Ugh, another almost 3 hour game!
Jackson's grit too benefits the entire team, even rubbed off on Bonner I think lol...
And then there's that fella Parker, I think he's got something to prove.
R.I.P. Conley
Clips win at home Friday.
Powder Paul will adjust
The refs sure are helping the Grizz a good amount tonight as well.....
Just hope it doesnt go seven. The schedule works out well for me
Clippers in seven.
And both Gay and Gasol suffer career ending injuries.
If it's going 7, then Randy Foye better get ready to get his Jannero Pargo on.
If Z-Bo has his game back the Grizz are going to be tough to take out.
Clips will win in 6
Memphis is an unstoppable machine.
The :lobt: is a given..
So Memphis it is.
Clippers are winning in 6, watch how CP3 plays in game 6, he will lead them to a W in game 6. this win for Memphis was expected
Clippers will win this in five. I have never seen a team so terribly overrated as the Memphis Grizzlies.
Could Memphis somehow blow this game?
Fear the Hair Fake.
The Grizzlies did some serious damage to some spurfans last year.
They are terrify of this team for some reason.
Grow some balls. This Grizzlies team is shit and will go down in 5 games against the Spurs.
Stop giving the grizz so much credit..
Memphis ain't shit sons. Spurs will go Silverback and sweep dey asses too.
I expect the Grizz to win, especially with Paul hurt again and LA in 3 quarter court mode, chucking from outside all game.
If so, maybe the 2nd round will be more interesting than watching the Blake highlights even if the Spurs blow out the Clips by 20. Memphis gets no press either. That would really piss off the league.
We can take either one.
Griffin & Paul are hurt, so I'd not be surprised if Grizz come back & win the series, I'm hoping they do.
I hope it goes 7. Don't care who wins.
I don't see a Chris Paul-led team dropping 3 in a row.
Unless it's to us. >=)
Fuck the both teams. Spurs gon' be whippin those asses in 6 games max.
Glad Memphis won, cause I got tickets to Game 6 here in L.A. Gonna go check out the competition boys. :downspin:
don't forget El Che called it when it was 3-1 Clips.
I might make a self-congratulatory thread by Sun nite :)
:rolleyes
The way Rudy Gay has been mucking up their offense and taking retarded ass shots without being able to dribble or do much else besides shoot fadeaways, I'm not worried about the Grizz
good point but then again, the Grizz are probably the most physical grind out team in the entire playoffs. you won't get past them without a few bruised ribs and strained leg joints at a minimum
I am almost rooting for Clips to win the series. they are already hurting and tired
Lets all fucking shit ourselves? Grizz are not the same team as last year. Remember, we swept the season series.
Me too but at the same time, do we really want to play Flop City? Only OKC would probably get more bullshit calls in their favor. They have 3 of the worst floppers in the entire NBA on their team.
I mean look at this shit, dude gets touched by a REF and still flops

he doesn't even get touched

I hope the Grizzlies win just so we can beat the holy hell out of them. Spurs ain't soft anymore
With Griffin and Paul banged up it could be tough for the Clippers to pull off the win in game 6. If Griffin's injury is serious, then Memphis has a good chance of winning this series in 7. I think Paul will be ok and play well and he could just be enough to pull out just one more win.
Once you flop... you just can't stop.

The exchange Gay in/ Battier out has dropped Memphis BB IQ by some 50 Units.
Out of a total of 60.
The guy is in the same class as RJ in terms of loserness.
Still I think Clippers will advance.
Going to most likely go seven and I predict Memphis will choke like crazy again and Clippers survive as also the zebras SURELY will help them out along the way.
I have been a Spurs fan for almost 30 years and will continue..however im not a young kid anymore and with growing up I have become more of a realist fan..instead of a homer. With that being said dont you guys think its a little ironic that your ripping on cp3 and the clipps for flopping when parker/ginobili are just as bad, if not worse?? It seems like ginobili has caught on latley with the refs calling less and less of his flops, but I must say TP has gotten really good at it even in todays game!! Paul and griffin are bad yes, but my guess is they probably learnt the tactics from the Spurs lol
Parker flops...he just does such a good job of disguising it that it takes a trained eye to notice..it wasnt that long ago that one of the announcers of the game called him out after acting as if he was hit in the mouth..review showed he wasnt hit anywhere near the mouth area!
Because Parker and Ginobili have never done a heliflop
Applying the word "flopping" to both Manu and Paul implies that they're doing the same thing. That couldn't be further from reality. To use a somewhat blue metaphor, it's like saying a "player" and a rapist do the same thing to get tail, just because neither is the open-a-door-for-a-lady gentleman.
Just a few examples, Manu has NEVER done anything like this, while this stuff is Paul's bread and butter:

So no, Manu is nowhere near Pauls league when it comes to flopping.
Anyone has the gifs when TD held CP3 to prevent him from flopping and the one e flopped on Oberto?
all it takes is for the clippers' jump shots to not fall in game 6 and suddenly the series goes back to memphis for the closeout. there's no reason the spurs shouldn't be afraid of the grizzlies. if they play inside out, the spurs are going up against their weakness. spurs are a different team but parker always struggles against conley and the spurs depend on parker even more this year.
The only problem I see with this Spurs team is they sometimes lose focus when they get ahead early. I believe we have a better shot at sweeping memphis than the clips because they will be more determined and focused to beat memphis than probly any team they see the rest of the way.
Wow, that Laker one is classic. :downspin:
Depends if the grizz pound the ball to whoever blake is guarding. If they do that they blow out the clips in both games against a banged up team. However if mem decides to play up and down and chuck bad long range jumpers the series is the clips to win.
If the clips have to win game 6 so that we don't play back to backs I'd rather have flop city win. obv I'd rather play lac cuz there's no way they can beat the spurs. Mem when they play smart have a much better chance of beating the spurs.
Obviously a lot hinges on just how bad those injuries will impact Paul and Blake, but at the moment I think the Grizz will do just enough stupid things to lose on the road.
The Grizz will win in seven againsts the Clips and then payback is a bitch against my well rested healthy Spurs.
Paul and Griffin are game time decision for game 6. I'm sure they will play but not at 100%. If this goes back to Memphis its all over for the Clippers.
Spurs will be rested, healthy, and extremely motivated against the Grizzlies.
Clippers done with all the injuries
