In all honesty, if you want to know why people say shit that you take as condescending its because that's how guys usually bullshit with each other. There's always some shit talking about things of that nature with 99% of the people I talk sports with. None of them take it personally. I'm not sure why you are, but you can get upset about it if you want. I doubt many people are going to change for you, however.
